To Russia, With Love

I gotta say, I took one Russian class about 40 years ago. It’s way too rusty to do much other than read the name on the side of a rocket in a photo. But this has me thinking maybe it’s time to dust off the old text book and brush up. There IS some sanity left in the world. Comrade!

(Several folks pointed me to this, so h/t to all of you!)

Global warming, the tool of the West
04.01.2013

By Stanislav Mishin

For years, the Elites of the West have cranked up the myth of Man Made Global Warming as a means first and foremost to control the lives and behaviors of their populations. Knowing full well that their produce in China and sell in the West model and its consequent spiral downward in wages and thus standards of living, was unsustainable, the elites moved to use this new “science” to guilt trip and scare monger their populations into smaller and more conservatives forms of living. In other words, they coasted them into the poverty that the greed and treason of those said same elites was already creating in their native lands.

What better way to staunch protests at worsening economic and life conditions than to make it feel like an honourable job/duty of the people to save “Gia”. At the same time, they used this “science” as a new pagan religion to further push out the Christianity they hate and despise and most of all, fear? Gia worship, the earth “mother”, has been pushed in popular culture oozing out of the West for a better part of the past 1.5 decades. This is a religion replete with an army of priests, called Government Grant Scientists.

Various groups have fought back. This is including Russian hackers, who published a huge database of UK government, scientific and university emails depicting the fixing of data to sell Global Warming, er Climate Change (as if it never changed on its own). And while taking hit after hit, the beast, like Al Quida, will not die. As a matter of fact, the beast is on a steady come back, as it is quite useful during the down times recession. The US alone spends $7 billion each year on warming “studies”, which is, in truth, nothing but a huge money laundering operation, as no real science is conducted and vapid alarmist reports the only product generated.

Amongst the newest claims of pending disasters, is a cry that icepacks are now melting at three times the rate of the 1990s, even though there has not been any significant warming in the past 20 years. Greenland’s icepack melt off, has been linked to volcanic activity under the ice, heating it. Must be the magmamen and their SUVs. These facts, however, do not faze the Gia crowd and their Elite/Governmental backers. The fact that a super storm hit the NE US is also being played as evidence of GW. Thank God that before GW no such things ever happened. How are they to explain that Russia and Eastern Europe are projected to have the coldest winter in 20 years? Oh, but I doubt my Western readers are even aware of that.

Now, with their economies in a spiral of debt laden, non-manufacturing recession (if not out and out depression), the Elites, who sense they are loosing their grip or toe hold on key economic regions outside their home regions, are once again calling out their inquisitors of Global Warming and sending them towards the developing world.

The first salvo has been fired by a British Warming dandy named Lord Nicholas Stern of Brentford, who as an academic at Whitehall, has made a career and quite a bit of money off of this scam. Lord Stern, a former World Bank chief economist and author of the landmark Stern review of the economics of climate change, was a close associate of Gordon Brown and the Leftists, who with the Tory counterparts and in parallel to the American Democrats/Republicans set up the grand and self destructive economic schemes that have plunged their own nations and many many others into the abyss of poverty.

The good Lord Stern, in commentary on why countries such as Russia, China, India and Brazil, in other words, the BRICs, have to pony up cash and depress their own growth, made this statement for the Guardian paper: “It’s a brutal arithmetic – the changing structure of the world’s economy has been dramatic. That is something developing countries will have to face up to,”

His premise is that even if you take out the deindustrialized West, run away Global Warming will not stop due to the industrialized world. Its now all the fault of those raising themselves up for the destruction of the world, from the phantom joke of GW. Lord Stern tried to assure that the opening salvo was not a salvo, by stating: “I am not pointing the finger at the developing world, just looking at what is necessary. I am not accusing or proposing, just calculating what is needed [to meet scientific estimates of the emissions cuts needed to avoid dangerous levels of climate change]“. More like a calculated accusation. After all, this is not some light weight of the GIA cult, but the movement’s chief economist who enjoyed the ear of the UK government: a perfect tool of the Western Elites.

Expect the cries to get louder and more shrill in the months to follow.

Пока Россия это знает, есть надежда на мир.

(Hopefully close to: As long as Russia knows these things, there is hope for the world.)

I never thought I’d see that day, but it looks like Pravda really is the source of truth.

We have The British Royals saying they want to win The Great Game this time. We have the blatant free-pass to China and the direct assault on property rights and prosperity of the middle class in the west. But at least now we have Russia on our side.

Perhaps there is hope yet for that little cottage in the country… just somewhere near the Caspian ;-)

You just have to love the Slavic “style” ;-)

Maybe we can find a church window somewhere to borrow for a, um, “political party”…

And yes I am sure the power elite REALLY REALLY want to silence people like Anthony Watts, Steve M. and ChiefIO among others. Communication has always been the Achilles heel of those using propaganda to further their power trips.

I really love that article in Pravda. Time to send it to all the Congress critters in DC and ask them why we have to go to a Russian news source to get the truth. (snicker)

Russia’s “sanity” is merely opportunism. That is one trait they know well. If it would enrich them to be a believer, they would. But they see an opportunity to rise as the rest of the world wallows, and they are taking it.

There are too many commies around, to many druks and their legal system is one of the most corrupt systems in the world. In short, I don’t trust them as I don’t trust the EU or the US government for that matter.
In fact, Russia and the EU are pulling the same string (for now) http://www.europarussia.com/posts/3709 So Screw them all. I still see the USA as the last bastion of our freedom and as long as “we the people” can stick to their guns’ and prevent the Second Amendment to be taken from them the traitors won’t succeed. I think the globalist traitors will have a hell of a job to shackle the majority of the American population and that’s the end of their quest. Someone like ALex Jones could only live in Russia if he was a communist. http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2013/01/07/alex_jones_vs_piers_morgan_1776_will_commence_against_if_you_try_to_take_our_firearms.html

Well, I’m at best flat out guessing about the place, so happily yield to better info. My total overseas time is three weeks split between New Zealand and Australia, 2 weeks in Tokyo (loved it!), and 2 weeks on a biz trip splattered between London, Rome, and Karlsruhr Germany. (Snuck in one Saturday drive to France and Switzerland…)

So one of my ‘blind spots’ is any real on the ground exposure to most of the world. Oh, and those trips were about 30 years ago…

Basically my view of Eurasia / Africa / S. America is “typical American via media”.

  8. adolfogiurfa says:

@E.M.: Watching the map asked by Gail, it looks as if there is more CO2 where there is more vegetation, also on the seas where there is more plankton. China doesn´t pollute!

  9. R. de Haan says:

Adolfo, the CO2 map shows CO2 is the gas of life. The area’s with most of the world’s biomass produces most of the CO2. It’s not our industry or our SUV’s.

“Susan Evans is employed by WWF Canada. She holds a Masters degree in zoology, but many of the comments she recently submitted to the IPCC are devoid of scientific content. For example, she sees this report as an opportunity to “foster a sense of stewardship and responsibility” toward the ecosystem (Chapter 00/comment 44).

On four separate occasions, Evans advises the IPCC to consult a 72-page handbook published by the WWF’s Global Arctic Programme (Chapter 00/comment 45, 2/727, 14/577, 15/367).

In another instance, she urges the IPCC to take into consideration a 246-page WWF document titled Buying Time. Its foreword encourages readers to become political activists (14/406).

On three occasions, Evans calls the IPCC’s attention to a third WWF-produced document about Pacific marine ecosystems (13/300, 26/260, 26/417). In three further instances, she points to a fourth report about climate change in Western Canada that the WWF helped create (15/367, 15/370, 26/316). Elsewhere, she urges the IPCC to consult a fifth WWF document, a 69-page publication about managing water supplies (15/455).”

  13. adrianvance says:

There is so much money and power driving this nonsense it may well prevail, but you cannot avoid the basic physics of the matter:

CO2 is a “trace gas” in air, insignificant by definition. It absorbs 1/7th as much IR, heat energy, from sunlight as water vapor which has 80 times as many molecules capturing 560 times as much heat making 99.8% of all “global warming.” CO2 does only 0.2% of it. For this we should destroy our economy?

Carbon combustion generates 80% of our energy. Control and taxing of carbon would give the elected ruling class more power and money than anything since the Magna Carta of 1215 AD.

See The Two Minute Conservative at http://adrianvance.blogspot.com for political analysis, science and humor. If you read us every day when you speak ladies will swoon and liberal gentlemen will weep.

  14. E.M.Smith says:

Well, my take on the CO2 map (it is August…) is that the N. plants are sucking it up in the sunshine and the S. Hemisphere is producing it as the plants consume their stored food to wait for the return of the sun… In the deserts even more so as they wait for some rain, too.

    @AdrianVance:

It’s just the UK Royals and their new friends “pining for the old days” and wanting a global “Coal tax post” again:

The USSR was a one party system under Perestroika and Glasnost. Gorbachev tried to lure Western Europe out of NATO into a “Common European House” as he called it; the Soviet expression of their idea that Europe basically belonged to them.

The only good thing to be said about Gorbachev is probably that he didn’t openly propose nuking Europe into surrender. What was there positive he had to offer? Maybe send 10 % people less per year into the Gulag? He was trying to save the collapsing system in which he was brought up as an apparatchik.

    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I though it would be interesting to follow the changes in CO2 across a year’s time to see what happens. Ferdinand Engelbeen is always claiming CO2 is well mixed in the atmosphere which I think is a real big pile of bull feces. (Constant sources and sinks do not lead to a well mixed atmosphere.)

The ‘well mixed’ assumption is the assumption that allowed Callendar, Keeling and Engelbeen to toss out all the historic measurements carefully documented by Beck and only keep the low measurements. See circled measurements in this graph.

This assumption is THE primary assumption underpinning the entire CAGW conjecture. If CO2 is not ‘well mixed’ then you can not toss the historic measurements and present day CO2 is not outside of normal variation.

The assumption also determines how measurements are taken to this day. High & low readings are tossed based on that dubious assumption.

How we measure background CO2 levels on Mauna Loa.

    4. In keeping with the requirement that CO2 in background air should be steady, we apply a general “outlier rejection” step, in which we fit a curve to the preliminary daily means for each day calculated from the hours surviving step 1 and 2, and not including times with upslope winds. All hourly averages that are further than two standard deviations, calculated for every day, away from the fitted curve (“outliers”) are rejected. This step is iterated until no more rejections occur.

This is how they get that nice curve.

Every time Obama opens his mouth Gun sales surge. What is interesting is the increase in sales is going to DEMOCRATS! (snicker) …results show that Democrats have been the fastest growing purchasers of firearms, closing the gap to 40%-55% by household ownership compared to Republicans.

Gun sales are surging across the country, as citizens have been scrambling to arm themselves before a government bent on controlling all aspects of their lives can deprive them of legal gun purchases. Meanwhile, violent crime rates have been plummeting across-the-board….

  20. E.M.Smith says:

    @Gail:

Well then you ought to like this map, from NASA no less, showing not so well a mixing by latitude in the mid-troposphere. Note, in particular, that the high cold places like Antarctica are significantly lower than the mid latitude places like the USA / Hawaii…

    http://www.nasa.gov/multimedia/imagegallery/image_feature_833.html

365-370 vs 380 ish. So we ought to be adding at least 10, and likely 20 ppm to those ice core CO2 numbers to compare them to Hawaii. More if during an ice age glacial it is even colder at the pole so the ratio skews even more… Just saying…

Also this one shows lots of grown level variation:
    http://www.nasa.gov/topics/earth/features/co2_map.html

Now in particular note the Desert Southwest. I’ve driven over most of that. Not much out there. Yet they are claiming far more emissions of CO2 there, than in the coal power fired East?

    Yeah, right…

Have fun… (Maybe I’ll make a posting out of this…)
