Paris, COP21, Obama Declares Victory, the TPP Likely Gives It To Him.

Obama was just on the news declaring victory for “climate justice”. (ANY adjective in front of “justice” is a red flag to a propaganda ploy. There is only “justice”, not flavors of it. Things are either just, or not… )

It’s his Big Legacy and he’s asserting this was a big win.

Some other folks are quasi celebrating that it’s Yet Another Farce and can’t possibly be enforce anyway as it “isn’t a treaty”.

But there’s a secret back door in the works. The TPP.

Obama will use TPP to Enforce his Climate Agreement

By Howard Richman, Jesse Richman and Raymond Richman

Little appreciated in the current debate on the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP) is the dramatic way the TPP will abrogate legislative authority permanently from the U.S. Congress to the president. TPP creates a commission with full power to amend the agreement, and an arbitration mechanism with the strength to enforce such amendments. The House and Senate gave up their rights to amend TPP, but they can still vote it down when it comes up for up-or-down votes in both chambers next year.

Although many people still labor under the delusion that TPP is a free trade agreement, the 5,544 page TPP regulates trade, the environment, immigration, patents, copyrights, and labor laws among the 12 countries that are participants and the additional countries that are expected to join. Consequently, in a post-TPP world, U.S. presidents could force almost any alteration in U.S. law simply by achieving support in the TPP commission for a U.S. specific modification to the TPP. Case in point today, Obama’s climate ambitions.

Note that “immigration” line too. The Democrats are hell bent on importing a few Million more Muslims to the USA. I’d wondered just why. Well, turns out they vote about 70%+ Democrat. So bring in a few million, declare a “path to citizenship” and have the president preferentially ‘relocate’ them to “swing States” and you get an instant and permanent Democratic President forever.

Add in the TPP, and then you can get loads of “Progressive” folks brought in from places ranging from Brunei, and Mexico to Malaysia.

But back at the Environmental Hook:

It became obvious when the text of TPP was revealed at the beginning of November. Article 20.4 specifies that TPP will implement relevant multilateral environment agreements:

1. The Parties recognise that multilateral environmental agreements to which they are party play an important role, globally and domestically, in protecting the environment and that their respective implementation of these agreements is critical to achieving the environmental objectives of these agreements. Accordingly, each Party affirms its commitment to implement the multilateral environmental agreements to which it is a party.
[…]

So you sign ANY kind of “multilateral environmental agreement” it comes under the enforcement powers of this treaty and bypasses Congress and the U.S. legal system. BTW, I’ve bolded some bits in the quotes.

Republicans are now beginning to realize that Obama will use TPP to enforce his climate agreement. Manning continues:

There can be little doubt that Obama plans on using the Trans-Pacific Partnership governance as the means to enforce whatever he agrees to in Paris on the U.S. all the while our trade partners will ignore it, with the threat of international trade sanctions imposed against the United States should Congress or a future president roll back his agenda.

Obama’s Strategy

In retrospect, Obama’s strategy was obvious. It first appeared in a January 2014 press release from the U.S. Trade Representative’s office which stated:

The United States’ position on the environment in the Trans-Pacific Partnership negotiations is this: environmental stewardship is a core American value, and we will insist on a robust, fully enforceable environment chapter in the TPP or we will not come to agreement. [emphasis added]

Our proposals in the TPP are centered around the enforcement of environmental laws, including those implementing multilateral environmental agreements (MEAs) in TPP partner countries…

It was explained more fully in a 2014 paper (pdf) by Joshua P. Meltzer, Fellow in Global Economy and Development at the Brookings Institution. Meltzer wrote:

As a twenty-first-century trade agreement, the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPP) presents an important opportunity to address a range of environmental issues, from illegal logging to climate change and to craft rules that strike an appropriate balance between supporting open trade and ensuring governments can respond to pressing environmental issues.

BTW, the TPP would also muzzle “fair use” and make all sorts of communications and information sharing subject to draconian legal threats:

https://www.eff.org/issues/tpp

but I’ll leave that for some other day…

In Conclusion

So there you have the strategy. Obama was declaring victory since our Congress has been so stupid as to be manipulated into handing off their power to govern to faceless “International Commissions”. The TPP has to be killed or we get COP21 thrust down our throats.

(Along with loss of liberty to use communications and ‘fair use’, along with outside control of immegration, along with … well, a whole lot of bad crap.)

I would strongly urge Congress to get a firm grip on their one remaining testicle and realize they have handed the knife to permanently render them impotent over to the TPP and Obama.

It is fairly clear that ANY “international agreement” or “treaty” from this point forward is a “clear and present danger” to the USA.

I’m reminded of what I’d tell my children when they were not behaving well: “Stop it! JUST STOP IT. NOW.”.

At this point there is a clear strategy from those who wish to remove the USA from a central place on the international stage:

1) Demographic swamping. Import LOADS of folks from “Progressive” places. Preferably non-Christians so as to neutralize that vote. Only from groups that have a pattern of strongly voting for Democratic / Socialist / Left Wing / Progressive causes.

2) Use “treaties” to neuter Congress and bypass the US Constitution and laws.

3) Parasitize and use all NGOs, Government Agencies, Foundations, and Charitable Organizations so as to bend their funding to Progressive Ideological purposes.

4) Pack Education with true believers. (Straight out of Marx and the Communist Manifesto, BTW). Drive out anyone from a conservative background and POV. Put Education under Federal control (who will take their “guidance” from “international norms and agreements”).

and likely a few more I’ve not sorted out just yet.

It is absolutely essential that Congress (and hopefully our next President) take action to halt and reverse each and all of those.

It will be a very long hard battle, since Socialism / Communism isn’t going to just give up and go home. The didn’t after the USSR collapsed, they just moved into Europe and set up the EU…

Basically, the era when we could just sit back and trust our “elected representatives” to actually represent us is over. Likely some long time ago. Similarly the time when a “charity” could be trusted to do anything reasonable with your “donations”. ALL must be bent to the will of the Progressive Left. So just stop funding them. One can no longer trust the NSF to actually fund Science, nor the EPA to respect citizens rights either. Congress is no longer doing anything remotely resembling “oversight” (likely deliberately so that they can avoid responsibility…) and we have top to bottom Agencies Run Amok.

To quote the Microsoft Support web site when I was researching a bug in their software: “This behavior is by design”.

It isn’t an accident. It isn’t just happening or accidental cultural drift. It is a designed process of subversion of the USA. Driven out of the UN, and fully supported by a globalist socialist movement.

Either our elected “representatives” get with it and start fixing this crap, or you can kiss off the Wesphalian State and accept that the USA no longer has:

“Westphalian sovereignty is the principle of international law that each nation state has sovereignty over its territory and domestic affairs, to the exclusion of all external powers, on the principle of non-interference in another country’s domestic affairs, and that each state (no matter how large or small) is equal in international law.

The EU has already achieved that goal in Europe. Now it’s the USA that is to be brought under the yoke. (Middle East to be reduced to rubble so it, too, can be ‘unified’ in some kind of sphere of control… details TBD…) FWIW, there is also an effort to make an EU of Latin America underway. Sometime later to be stitched together with the EU and TPP.

So you have a simple choice, really:

Stop it. Just stop it.

or:

Accept life as a serf reporting up through 3 or 4 levels of non-Westphalian non-Representatives to a faceless out of reach “overlord commission”.

The UN’s COP-21 Conference in Paris failed because world leaders belatedly realized they could be charged and convicted for TREASON if they signed binding agreements to surrender the control of their nation to the UN, . . .

based on misinformation about the Earth’s heat source – the Sun – they themselves financed with public funds for seventy years (1945-2015):

  2. So, let me get this straight. In order to cut temperatures by 0.05degrees c by the end of the century the west-already deeply in debt- will have to borrow trillions from china and then give it straight back to them as payment, as, whilst being the largest co2 polluter in the world, they are a developing country rather than a developed one.

Anything else anyone here would like the western negotiators to solve, as obviously they are on fire

  3. BN says:

It was reported that Mitch McConnell told Obama that he couldn’t get the TPP passed until after the election because all the people hate it. He is more than a RINO. democrats and Republicans are the same, controlled by big money.
This is why they fear Trump so bad, he could change things. I fear for his health.

  4. pyromancer76 says:

Unfortunately, most congresspersons are completely supportive of TPP- almost everyone of the Republicans who were voted in on “conservative” or “tea party” principles have bent over for the money. I wish everyone could have seen this way back and shouted it to the rooftops. They mostly are Uniparty. See ConservativeTreehouse for the splitter strategy that has been used by the GOPe, Chamber of Commerce, globalists for many elections now and using with a vengeance in this one. TPP kept under lock and key and no aides could see the enormous document? Our representatives did not rebel and revolt??? Who does business this way???

Furthermoren, Ted Cruz is being inserted in an insidious way, pretending to be “conservative”, but, along with his wife, being absolutely true to the globalist agenda — TPP (he voted for TPA which made the vote on TPP up or down), many H1B visas to take jobs away from Americans, amnesty, etc. He hides pretty well. Our America is cooked if the out-of-control train of TPP is not stopped (open borders, distributed populations, control by a very few, the example is the EU, or the Soviet Union before it). See the comments at WUWT on his sterling command of the hearing on global warming. He, the brilliant debater and brilliant mind, seemed to be working for the other side.

I’m afraid you will have difficulty finding that out-of-the way spot for a peaceful retirement. At least Putin is pushing back against out-of-control of the globalists. I am hoping for a gigantic train wreck (but not WWIII) — but unfortunately most of us will feel the terrible pain well before these global fascists. But then economic train wrecks are the plan of Soros (it lives on) to humble countries with once-vibrant economies. I just took a look at thedemiseofchristchurch.com website and the story is the same. Very scary. This is why I am supporting Donald Trump. Never would have thought of him before — but at least he has accomplished something in his life that is true. He is the only who I can faintly trust to restore American borders and sovereignty — no TPP..

  5. omanuel says:

The seemingly meaningless end of the UN’s COP-21 Conference in fact signals the end to seventy years (1945-2015) of government deceit disguised as “consensus science.”

  6. p.g.sharrow says:

Manipulation within Machinations, Hard to tell for sure who is on the side of the people that do the work. Trump is a demagogue that says all the right words, but he has always worked both sides of the field to line his own pockets and build on his ego. Every one of the Elite fear him because he has been privy to their own circles of influence and money. Dangerous man, but to whom? Wall Street is willing to fund Hillary to counter The Donald as they know her and fear him. New York State RNC is exploring ways to remove Trump from their ballot to prevent his nomination. Bad move, if the National Committee allows this as it will free Donald from his commitment to back the primary winner and not launch a third party bid. That would be the kiss of death for the Republican Party. Donald Trump could win! ABC ( anybody but clinton) & ABB (anybody but bush) = 30% of the electorate right off the top. The Democrats no longer have a lock on Electoral Collage votes that they once enjoyed.
In this horse race Ted Cruze is rapidly coming up from behind as Ben Carson fades. Cruze has a real organization behind him and lots of small money backing from the “Tea Party” people, so deep backup to stay the course. This is the “Dark Horse” to watch. So far Trump and Cruze have avoided attacking each other, interesting. Maybe they are just jousting for position to lead their ticket. Trump/Cruze er Cruze/Trump, works for me. The rest of these clowns can sit the rest of this dance out. I am a life long CONSERVATIVE Democrat and in My opinion the Clintons belong in prison, all of them, for treason and other lessor crimes…pg

  7. Bob Weber says:

pg, Trump won’t accept being VP.

EMS, eternal vigilance is the ongoing price of liberty – you are doing your share. Thanks.

  8. John F. Hultquist says:

    TPP Countries:
    Australia, Brunei, Canada,
    Chile, Japan, Malaysia,
    Mexico, New Zealand, Peru,
    Singapore, the United States,
    and Vietnam.

I’m assuming all of the above issues will apply in all of the above countries.

  9. omanuel says:

@p.g. sharrow. We agree on politicians. Do we also agree that:

The toothless treaty that emerged from the UN’s COP-21 Climate Conference in Paris was

    1. A defeat for the united political forces allied with “consensus science.”

    2. A victory for basic principles of the scientific method?

Now is the time to rebuild science and to replace falsehoods inserted in the foundations of nuclear and solar physics after WWII:

    https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/10640850/STALINS_SCIENCE.pdf

    1. The interior of the Sun is mostly iron (Fe), not hydrogen (H). Stars make and discard hydrogen to interstellar space.

    2. Neutrons repel other neutrons, as indicated by Aston’s nuclear packing fraction, not attract them, as allowed in Weizsacker’s seriously flawed concept of nuclear binding energy.

In the chaotic path of history, I see evidence that the ancient scriptures will again be confirmed: “Truth is victorious, never untruth.”

  10. Ian W says:

As part of the recent Funding Bill there are clauses that forbid any expenditure within the TPP on any environmental or immigration agreements. Whether this will be seen as a reason to ‘Close Down the Government’ will not be apparent until Wednesday.

  11. gallopingcamel says:

I am not a fan of Roy Spencer but he does have a great comment on COP21:

The last three presidential elections were meaningless to me. I voted for Boris Johnson (the Lord Mayor of London, born in New York).

Suddenly I can hope that Fiorina, Carson, Trump or Cruz will be the GOP nominee. While I love Boris I will vote for any of the above because they are not part of our “Ruling Elite” that promises “Hope and Change” while delivering open borders, social division and economic ruin.

The next president needs to replace the top management at the Justice Department with people who will enforce our laws regardless of what the “Executive Branch” may want. If that happens Hillary Clinton will serve some jail time.

OK, that is just a dream. It is much more likely that Hillary Clinton will be the next POTUS, I have that eventuality covered too. Since retiring from full time employment at Duke University in 2002, I have been teaching on a part time basis:
    http://www.bdidatalynk.com/PeterMorcombe.html

If Hillary becomes our next president I will give up my part time job which means that I will no longer be able to afford the Obamacare payments for my wife who is 16 years younger than me. We will move to Estepona (Spain) or Llano Grande (Colombia) where our savings will be sufficient to fund a lavish life style.

  14. Gail Combs says:

E.M. Glad to see you also made the connection that TPP is the ENFORCEMENT part of the climate treaty.

TTP sure looks like the EU rewritten for the USA, Australia, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Japan, Malaysia,
Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore, and Vietnam.
