Can We Stop Calling It Terrorism? It’s Islamists Attacking The West.

Can we stop calling all these attacks “Terrorist Attacks” and stop calling the scum bags doing them “Terrorists”?

I’m not terrified, nor are most people. Next day we have flower piles on sidewalks and people out in the streets again. It hardly makes the top of the news cycle it has become so “Ho Hum”. I’m disgusted and a little P.O.’ed; perhaps even suffering from ennui over it. But “terrorized”? Hardly.

Look, the simple fact is that ONE thing unifies all these actions. There have been dozens of them now. It is a Jihad against The West by Islamist thugs. It isn’t ‘terrorist attacks’, it is Islamist Attacks. They attack in the name of Allah. They attack to bring Islam to the Infidel. There isn’t any doubt about the who and the why.

So let’s drop the pretense in the word “terrorist”. They don’t give a damn about our emotional state, ‘terrified’ or otherwise. They want us dead. ( I think they have given up on the notion of mass conversions to Islam, that just leaves enslaved or dead, and we’re not signing up to be slaves either…)

France- Charlie Hebdo, Paris – Shopping Mall / Louvre, French Priest, Bastille Day Truck, the train where some US guys decided to do a take down…

Sweden – Truck on a shopping mall

Norway – Oslo “bomb like device” found and defused

Belgium – Maelbeek Metro, Brussels Airport, Jewish Museum Shooting

UK – London Parliament

Germany – Christmas Market, Reutlingen machete attack, Train Knife Attack,

USA – Orlando Night Club, San Bernardino, Texas Art Show (attempted – Texans shoot real good…)

and undoubtedly more that I’m just not remembering, like, oh, that “workplace violence” at a US military base…

These all share ONE common element: They were done by Islamists, in the name of Islam, against us Infidels.

Given that, I think it is time to drop the PC Crap and the Pretense and the “cover story” and just admit the truth in how we name this.

It isn’t terrorism if you are no longer terrified. It is Islamist Guerilla War with Islamists doing the attacks.

These are not Radical Catholics going after Jews and Protestants (though that has happened in our past, we grew up…).

These are not Race Riots.

These are not Political Marches, Protests, or street riots (happening now in Venezuela because, well, because people get cranky when the don’t have any food, medical care, or a good job; and especially so when they elect a parliament that gets dissolved and their primary candidate to displace the Evil Bastard running the place gets banned from public office for 15 years…)

No, all of these are an attack by ONE Religious Ideology on everyone and anyone who does not bow down and embrace it. From Sudan to India to Russia to Europe and The UK, across the ocean to the USA. The sheer breadth of languages, cultures, races, and peoples attacked is breathtaking, and they all share ONE attribute: They are Not Muslims.

Now when your attackers all have one trait, and the attacked the exact opposite in common, there is one and only one apt description that covers it and which speaks the truth, and that is NOT “terror”. It is Islamist vs World.

I’m really really tired of doing “translation table maintenance” every time I hear “Terrorist” and have to put a pointer in the table to “Really, it is Islamists attacking Infidels”. I’d like to move on and embrace the simple truth of the common shared reality. It isn’t Buddhists attacking, nor Jews, nor Hindu or Christian. Not Agnostics nor Russian Orthodox, nor Protestants & Baptists. Heck, not even Animists and practitioners of Vudo. We don’t have “Lone Wolf Baptists” running down people in Brussels, nor “Radical Mormons” blowing up buildings, nor “Terrorist Atheists” hijacking airplanes to drive them into skyscrapers.

What we do have is Islamists trying to kill everyone else. It is Islamist Attacks, and Islamist Attackers.

Where PC puts you in mental shackles, The Truth shall set you free.

Brilliantly put. Although secular, peace loving Muslims are also attacked. Due to their generally closer proximity, they are particularly impacted. This does not mean the perpetrators are not Jihadis.

Hillrj, I expect there are lots who benefit. The likes of Erdoğan are probably using the ideology for their own power enhancing ends. Others will be sincere and may gain mental satisfaction from the belief and prospect of paradise.

I believe psychopaths cross all cultural boundaries. The Islamist ideology in condoning brutality, rape and slavery empowers that segment of the population. It also normalises that sort of behaviour.

While only dealing with the West, I found these informative on the extent and impact of psychopaths on society:

I tend to agree E.M. As has been said already if a group moves into a country and then starts insisting on pain of death that the country change behavior to suit that group and adopt that group’s laws, it is not migration it is invasion.
As a general rule people in the West have a short attention span so forget history and are doomed to repeat it. It is less than 100 years since the collapse of the last Caliphate – the Ottoman Empire. I find it interesting that Erdogan is once again moving Turkey back to Islam. The ‘Arab Spring’ was in reality seen as a return to non-secular Islamic government. It seems that the Obama administration intended to put the Muslim Brotherhood in place in North Africa around the Mediterranean to Turkey. Reincarnating a Caliphate. This was of course the claim made by ISIS. So what we see in the Middle East and Africa is an attempt to bring back the 1900 extent of the Caliphate and internecine battles to be the Caliph between different flavors of Islam.
It should also be realized that the term ‘Jihad’ is misused and misunderstood in the West. Jihad equates more to ‘moral duty’ along the lines of Nelson’s signal to the fleet at Trafalgar: “England expects every man to do his duty”. There are Muslim who see it as their moral duty to convert, subjugate or kill kaffir. Some see other sects of Muslim as worse than Kaffir the Sunni vs Shia for example. I have given this reference before but it is really worth watching this ad hoc lecture https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t_Qpy0mXg8Y&feature=youtu.be

It should be remembered that it is not that long ago that Christianity had the same issues. Anyone who reads of the ending of the Siege of Béziers by the Papal army will be struck by the similarity to the behavior of ISIS in towns they have captured. The Irish similarly suffered particularly badly in the 1600’s from religious persecution by the British. Christian religious persecution of sects of Christianity was the reason for the early pilgrims crossing to the Americas. The Gordon Riots in Britain due to the British government repealing the law enforcing religious segregation of Roman Catholics, were probably what led to the ‘Freedom of Religion’ being part of The Constitution in the United States.

So we have a little-endian vs big-endian dispute in which one side’s religion has rules that allow for raping, enslaving and killing of anyone that doesn’t agree with their views. People in Europe welcoming Islamic migrants have forgotten the history of Islam moving into kaffir countries and are now condemned to repeat it.

“Peaceful Muslims” are not observant Muslims and therefore Apostates deserving of death according to the strict beliefs of Islamists.

Total tally (not counting Sweden and this mornings bombing in Egypt [4, 21 respectively),
    In the last 30 days:
143 Islamic attacks in 22 countries, in which 1064 people were killed and 1214 injured.
This year 2017 (to date, 3 months):
569 Islamic attacks in 41 countries, in which 3909 people were killed and 4664 injured.
    2016:
2477 Islamic attacks in 59 countries, in which 21240 people were killed and 26680 injured.
    2015:
2862 Islamic attacks in 53 countries, in which 27594 people were killed and 26142 injured.
    2014:
3002 Islamic attacks in 55 countries, in which 33463 people were killed and 27522 injured.

Every 2 years these folks are killing more people than US Killed In Action in Vietnam!
They have repeatedly openly stated they are at war with the US and actually issued declarations of war.

Just what does it take to get people’s attention?

  5. Larry Ledwick says:

  7. beththeserf says:

Down memory lane, the history record. When the Us first achieved independence
from Britain they were no longer exempt from British payment of ‘tribute’ money to
Arab slavers on the Barbary Coast of North Africa. Here the Arab slave trade had
carried out a lucrative and barbaric commerce in buying and selling human beings
as chattels since the 16th century, perhaps more than a million and a half men,
women and children taken in ship captures and raids of villages from Italy and
Ireland to Iceland in the north. American shipping became vulnerable. John Adams
and Thomas Jefferson were ordered to deal with the Barbary nations with a view
to reasonable tribute terms.Trying to do a deal with the Envoy from Tripoli and
saying that Tripoli had no cause for aggression towards America, Jefferson
    reported the following response:

“The Ambassador answered us that it was founded on the Laws of their Prophet,
that it was written in their Koran, that all nations who should not have acknowledged
their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them
wherever they could be found, and to make slaves of all they could take as Prisoners,
and that every Musselman [Muslim] who should be slain in battle was sure to go to
    Paradise.”

Jefferson concluded that tribute was an unsatisfactory means of dealing with the
Barbary Coast Slave traders and only a War would only a war would modify their
behavior, which he executed in his first term as President … and which, to an extent,
    it did.

  8. beththeserf says:

What did I do, a whole comment lost down the memory hole? Try again.

Down memory lane… When the American colonies gained independence from
Britain, they also lost protection, via tribute money payments from the attacks
of slave traders from the Barbary Coast. Since the 16th century, the Arabs
had carried on a lucrative and barbaric trade in men, women and children
bought and sod as human chattels. From Italy to Ireland, and as far north
as Iceland, ships and settlements were raided and perhaps more than a
million and a half people enslaved. The newly independent Americas became
a target after independence and John Adams and Thomas Jefferson were
sent to Europe to negotiate a deal with the Barbary slavers. Arguing with the
envoy for Tripoli that America was not an enemy, Jefferson reported his reply:

“The Ambassador answered us that it was founded on the Laws of their
Prophet, that it was written in their Koran, that all nations who should not
have acknowledged their authority were sinners, that it was their right and
duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found, and to make
slaves of all they could take as Prisoners, and that every Musselman
[Muslim] who should be slain in battle was sure to go to Paradise.”

Jefferson concluded that tribute money was an inadequate response
to the slavers , and as 3rd President of the new Republic, when faced
with escalating demands, sent ships from the new navy to ‘modify’ behavior,
which to an extent it did.

  14. pouncer says:

There are advantages to recovering old terms rather than inventing new ones. I propose we pull “pirate” out of the archives. As in, “Barbary Pirates” who have been stealing, killing, and otherwise harassing European and more recently US activity since, well, Columbus at least. There are laws of sea, international law, historic precedent, and long-standing custom about what can and should be done about pirates. Mostly, they are caught and hanged on the spot. Ships of civilized nations approach the coast of cities known to sponsor pirates, then lob explosive shells into the prominent buildings. Well-disciplined marines are landed some days’ march from such cities, sneak in, and detonate explosive mines.

There are some nations who — according to Thomas Jefferson, at least — would rather pay ransoms and tribute than participate in or contribute to reprisals. These nations, however worthy otherwise, are not worth delaying US action for. (Pretend not to understand French, and drive on.) (I note when Reagan ordered bombers to strike Libya, France objected. So USAF pilots navigated AROUND France, adding hours to the mission and so confusing the poor fatigued pilots that one released a bomb errantly, which landed on neutral civilians. An embassy, actually. The FRENCH embassy, specifically. Oops. Accident. Our bad. Sorry.) Some things change so slowly they hardly change at all.

Note the historic law and custom deals with CITY level pirate dens, not nation-states. Clearly if a nation/king/emir/shah/god-emperor-for-life cares to take his own actions against his own criminals, he should be afforded an opportunity. One, brief, highly visible opportunity. Otherwise the reprisal against criminal clusters is NOT regarded as an act of war, but as an act of charity, justice and and mercy offered from a more-powerful government to a weak and starvling state. “Let us help rid you of these turbulent pests.”

I might go so far as to allow Congress to charter privateers under letters of marque to seek out and destroy particular, named, pirate leaders. Bring in their heads and earn a bounty. Bring in their ships and cannon — missiles and warheads — and be paid prize money commensurate with the worth of that weaponry.

There are loud voices frequently crying about “international law”. Fine. Let us consider the existing laws and apply them now — forcefully.

This doesn’t yet address the problem of renegade refugees but it does offer a start on the so-called “root causes”.

  15. p.g.sharrow says:

The only thing that works against Warlords/Pirates is a PAX enforced by the Big Dog in the area. “International Law” and “Law of the Sea” are just justification for the use of massive force against bad actors and their enablers…pg

  16. Zeke says:

Many commenters here have discussed a renewed Caliphate.

There is a very serious pattern emerging with the number of failed states in the ME in the last 12 years, and the suddenness with which oil refineries and very nice equipment were obtained by Is11mists in the last 8 years.

We must not forget that wiki leeks revealed that HIllary had increased arms sales to the Saudis by 145%, and the Saudis are backers of the movement.

In short, because this has been a pattern over several presidencies, in all likelihood the Deep State (c i agenc.) is deconstructing WWI lines and re constructing a Caliphate.

NIce article, and of course the other ridiculous language used are the terms “extremism” and “self-radicalisation.” That way any one who holds views counter to prevailing narratives come under new laws against extremism.

  17. Zeke says:

“It should be remembered that it is not that long ago that Christianity had the same issues.”

Rome did not give up its possessions in its empire willingly. To leave the Roman church was to have independent national self-government, and freedom of religion within your state.

It is always instructive to see what became of those Catholic colonies, compared to the English-speaking Protestant colonies.

Do tell which one you wish you were born in instead of the US, Canada, England, Nz or Australia.

  18. Zeke says:

One more thing. Larry has some nice data on the Is11mst attacks. There was also an attack on a m0sque in Canada, which resulted in much Canadian soul-searching, of course.

What stood out to me is that the perpetrator they “caught” was an English-speaking Candian young man, and the press was at great pains to point out that he had “liked” or “followed” Donald Trump and Marine LePen on his facebook account.

Other witnesses said they heard shouts of A11h ac k bar and saw another man leave the scene of the crime. Reference: Rebel Media.

So look, everyone’s an extremist now. One thing you can do on your social media is make sure it reflects what you really think, and add that “Subscription does not equal endorsement.” You cannot agree with or be responsible for everything everyone says on the channels or pages you are interested in. And in Canada, liking LePen or DJT was evidence of extremism. England is not far behind in passing laws against extremist speech. Reference: Peter Hithchens

  19. Tarig Anter says:

The Turkic Indian Origin of Organized Crime and Mafia
Thuggees, a Sanskrit word meaning concealment, were an organized gang of professional assassins – sometimes described as the world’s first mafia – who operated from the 13th to the 19th centuries in India. Some old Turkic tales and modern unreliable academics and historians try to link thugs to a religious cult and deity called “Kali or Kalee” the goddess of death and destruction. This seems to be racist and part of campaign to defame Indian belief systems in favor of the Turkic invaders who were forcing their own version of Islam on indigenous Indians.
Certainly, thugs were not following any religious belief. Death in Hinduism is not treated as the end, but considered a fresh beginning. According to mythology, Kali is the fearsome form of Shakti, the slayer of evil, the destructor of adharma (unrighteousness). She has saved mankind from many daemons like Chand-Mund, Raktbeej, Shumb-Nishumb, etc. Given she is a form of Shakti, she is responsible for eliminating the negative forces inside us. Worshipping her is a way to thank her and seek her blessing in all the endeavors of life.
Accounts of a secret practice of murderers roaming India go back at least as far as the 13th century. The word ‘thug’ dates to early 13th-century India, when Thugs, or gangs of criminals, roamed from town to town, looting and pillaging. At its root, the word “Thuggee” derives from the Hindi (ṭhag), which means “deceiver”. Related words are the verb thugna (“to deceive”), from the Sanskrit (sthaga “cunning, sly, fraudulent”) and (sthagati, “he conceals”). This term, describing the murder and robbery of travelers, is popular in South Asia and particularly India. They mean the acts of Thugs, an organized gang of professional robbers and murderers. Thugs travelled in groups across the Indian sub-continent for six hundred years.
They were first mentioned in Ẓiyā-ud-Dīn Baranī’s History of Fīrūz Shāh, dated around 1356. The earliest known reference to the Thugs as a band or fraternity, rather than ordinary thieves, is found in Ziau-d din Barni’s History of Firoz Shah (written about 1356):
[In the reign of that sultan [about 1290], some Thugs were taken in Delhi, and a man belonging to that fraternity was the means of about a thousand being captured. But not one of these did the sultan have killed. He gave orders for them to be put into boats and to be conveyed into the lower country, to the neighbourhood of Lakhnauti, where they were to be set free. The Thugs would thus have to dwell about Lakhnauti and would not trouble the neighborhood of Delhi any more.] — Sir HM Elliot, History of India, iii. 141
The practice of Thuggees appeared with the Delhi Sultanate (1206–1526 AD). The Delhi Sultanate was a Turkic kingdom claiming Islam based mostly in Delhi that stretched over large parts of the Indian subcontinent for 320 years. Five dynasties ruled over Delhi Sultanate sequentially: the Mamluk dynasty (1206–90), the Khilji dynasty (1290–1320), the Tughlaq dynasty (1320–1414), the Sayyid dynasty (1414–51), and the Lodi dynasty (1451–1526). The first four dynasties (Mamluk, Khilji, Tughlaq and Sayyid) were of Turkic origin, and the last dynasty (Lodi) was of Afghan origin, who are Turkified Aryans.
Bands of Thugs traveled across the country posing as pilgrims, merchants, soldiers, or even royalty, in groups numbering anywhere from a few men to several hundred. Offering protection or company, they would befriend fellow travelers and slowly build their confidence along the road. Often the impostors would journey for days and hundreds of miles with their intended victims, patiently waiting for an opportunity to strike. When the time was right, typically while their targets were encamped and at their most relaxed, a signal would be given—reportedly “Bring the tobacco”—and the Thugs would spring.
Invasions, migrations, and slavery were normally associated with organized criminal gangs of thugs. From Scythia, India, and Iran the Huns, the Turkic, and the Mongols brought the practices of organized crime, Mafia, and terrorism to Europe, Arabia, Africa, and to the Americas.
To know who is fighting who in Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Libya, and whole Middle East and why; also to know who is really running the EU and the deep state in any country people need to look into the history of six Turkic groups.
    The six Turkic groups are:
1- Turkic Muslim in Anatolia and Balkan, (fake Caucasians since Byzantine–Seljuq wars in 1048 Ad),
2- Turkic Shia Persians (fake Iranians since the Achaemenids in 550 BC),
3- Turkic Khazar Zionist Jews (fake Israelite since Eastern Tourkia in 650 AD),
4- Turkic rulers of Arabia (fake Arabs, following the death of Islam in 655 AD),
5- Turkic “Hindu” Indians and Gypsy (fake Aryans since the Persian conquest in 530 BC), and
6- Turkic Europeans (fake liberal Christians since the “Holy” “Roman” “Empire” in 962 AD)
These groups discovered Zoroastrianism before Moses’ time. They killed it, and used their Tengri cult mixed with few concepts from Zoroastrianism to invent Persian Zoroastrianism. They repeated that with the teachings of Moses, Yeshua, and Mohamed.
Trust me the teachings of Moses, Yeshua, and Mohamed, and Zoroaster all died soon after birth. Most monarchies, bankers, and politicians in Europe and USA are of Turkic making since the so-called English, French, American, and Russian “Revolutions”. These Turkic groups committed all sorts of crimes in Asia, Europe, Levant, Arabia, and Africa.
With just a little of common sense and investigation people can easily find the real historic Turkic connections between them beneath their deceptive mutual hostilities and malignant policies.
Those are the enemies of Hitler, Nazis, and Russia. And before them were the enemies of Alexander the Great. The six Turkic groups despise Europeans because they feel that they are naive and peaceful, and meek.

In that vein we should also speak plainly about what is going on.
The Islamists are at war with Dar al-Harb (all the world not under Islamic rule). it is really that simple. If you are not an observant Muslim, they have declared war on you, openly and plainly in their own words.

On August 23, 1996, Osama bin Laden declared war on the US explicitly in his “Declaration of Jihad Against the Americans Occupying the Land of the Two Holy Mosques,”, he then again issued a wider declaration of war in February 1998, included the West and Israel, which effectively declared on Dar al-Harb (all the world not under Islamic rule).
[it is interesting that the english text versions of the two fatwas of 1996 and 1998 declaration of war on the west by Osama Bin Laden have both become hard to find, no longer available on the Council on Foreign Relations web site and some other academic web sites]

The Jews have been the enemies of the Islamic ‘ummah since the Messenger of Allah, Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be on him, began his call to Allah; and heir hostility to this ‘ummah will continue till the Day of Resurrection.

As regards making a call for peace in the sense of abandoning war once and for all, and concluding peace with the unbelievers for all time to come, and discarding of war and fighting absolutely, that is disbelief in Allah and exit from the community of Islam and revocation of the duty of Jihad which Allah has made incumbent on every Muslim till the Day of Resurrection”

It is not lawful for a Muslim to stipulate with the unbelievers, whether Jews or other, for ending war forever between them and the Muslims; for war or Jihad is an obligatory duty which remains in force till the Day of Resurection. [emphasis added] It is not lawful to eliminate it from the legal code. Whoever thinks that Jihad is not an obligatory duty or endeavors to nullify it or to set it aside is a kafir and unbeliever in Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala and he leaves the millah of Islam and denies an essential and well-known aspect of the of the din; for fighting [for the din] is a continuing duty till the Day of Resurrection.”

Those Sociopaths running various companies and countries who make money off of strife. From bomb makers to funeral operations, medicines to newspapers…

    And likely more I’ve missed.

Yes. Russia has many. India has had a Muslim vs Hindu slow war ever since the Muslim then Mogul Invasions. The partition into Pakistan and India was a big move. Lately, some Hindus have been fed up and started attacking Muslims. About 800 years worth: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muslim_conquests_of_the_Indian_subcontinent

China too has a little corner of the action. Africa is up to their eyeballs in it all across the south Sahara where Muslim domination means Christian and ‘other’ cultures. From Nigeria to Sudan to Somalia. Killings, rapes, kidnapping of women and children (slaughter of the men).

Per historical roots of such things (Catholic vs Protestant) and @Tarig:

History is full of folks slaughtering others for gain. It doesn’t need any particular ideology, though somewhere along the line Leaders discovered that a good ideology helps.

Among the earliest “suicide attackers” who would fight to the death were both various Druid / Celtic clans and later the Christian Knights. They were the first to use the “convert or die by the sword”, BTW. Islam quite likely picked those things up from Christianity. (Though they were pretty wide spread then, so who knows…)

It is peace and acceptance of others that have been lacking for much of history, from most cultures. Islam is just running about 700 years behind the rest of us. IMHO, it needs to catch up fast, before the patience of “Everybody Else” runs out and a ‘voted off the island’ moment arrives…

    @Tarig:

Interesting theory… but I’ve usually found that theories based on One Group Bad, everyone else wonderful, are a bit thin gruel. Pretty much every group of folks has some bad apples and every nationality has had some horrific actions somewhere in their past. It didn’t take Turks for the Europeans to kill of North American Natives nor Australian Aborigines.

So while I think it would be interesting to trace the connections you make, I suspect more than a few pounds of salt may be need to keep the robustness of historical evil clearly seen. Think Sea People vs Egypt or Rome vs Carthage or Vikings vs Europe or The Rus in the Byzantine Empire or Chin “unifying” China …

Fine but no one is answering my question about which of the former Catholic colonies they wish they were born in, since its all the same. Is it Paraguay? Venezuela? Mexico? Wish you were in Columbia right now?

Obviously your historic paradigm does not allow you to make a difference between outcomes in history. Cultural relativism blinds the holder of the theory to the fact that the free, English-speaking Protestant countries were truly different than anything in the old world.

It was the Colonies that developed universal literacy (MA required everyone to learn to read, including girls and Indians), freedom of worship (RI first tried this under Roger Williams, so much so that it was called Rogues Island because of the Baptists, Quakers, etc there), the civil rights contained in the Amendments and State constitutions, and constitutional representative governments (Thomas Hooker in CT decided that rather than have appointed leaders, they should “choose wise and understanding men from amongst themselves to be judges and leaders” quoting the Bible). From these experiments in the 1600’s the Founders were able to construct what we have. And that did not come easily, nor could the timing have been better. The monarch was weakened by a Puritan Parliament and the colonists developed their thoughts on liberty.

No where else were these ideas put to the test and then enshrined in law. It did not happen any where else in Europe or in the Southern hemisphere. Only here. Think about life in which only the upper class can read, or everything is kept in Latin. On pain of death. Even printing Primers for the purpose of learning to read English could carry penalty of imprisonment or death.

By the way, after having established freedom of worship in Rhode Island, the Baptist Roger Williams rowed miles in his boat in order to argue vigorously aganinst the Quakers. Could you not realize that it was an extremely difficult struggle to obtain the Bible in your own language, to teach children to read, and to elect local people to represent you, and to have equality before the law? Many people were killed in Europe for doing those things, which the colonies then demonstrated to the world were possible.

And the Protestant English Colonies had very very different fates from the Spanish ones.

  36. Larry Ledwick says:

Although not the only factor one of the reasons the Catholic colonies had different outcomes is they inherited the old world corruption of their sponsors. For example Mexico got a dose of both Spanish corruption and their cast system and French Napoleonic corruption.

The later Irish Catholics were treated as cheap slave labor although formal slavery like the African slaves was not used, they were slaves in all but name and considered as cheaper and more expendable than the African slaves. That is why many of them did back breaking jobs like digging the canals in the mid 1800’s during the US industrial expansion.

By contrast the protestant sects who settled early America were already pre-conditioned to self sufficiency and defining their own rules in small groups, many had been uprooted multiple times to avoid persecution, had formed tight communities, as that is the only way they had survived the persecution by authorities in Catholic France, Germany, and other northern European countries and also the Church of England.
Many of the founders were Huguenots or related sects. My ancestors were forced out of France/Germany by King Louis XIV and were part of the “poor palatines” who went to England then Ireland then here to America. (My family has been running from oppression since 1706 when one of my ancestors is listed among a group of Palatines arriving in England)
They were probably resettled in Ireland (given a Queen Anne’s Piece [musket] and a bit of land) as the most direct ancestor I can actually find a US immigration listing of, was born in Ireland and then came to the US in the mid 1800’s. although there are others with the same name in England and Canada.

Jeff, a very good move by your old presidents. I was fortunate to have a lady friend from a muslim family who escaped and became a real Australian. She gave me a koran to read translated directly from Arabic in about 1850 ,it was an eye opener. They truly hate us, instructions from Mo are very explicit convert, kill or enslave the men, the women are fair game for anything.
It is not a religion in the normal sense Mo took a bit from the Jews and a bit from Jesus in his ramblings but islam is mainly the old desert religion of mainly the moon and the black rock.
That is where the religion ends and the rest is instructions of mayhem.
There was once a bit of real religion involved in that Mo’s followers prayed facing Jureusalem Mo went to see the Israelis riding in front of his best warriors and proclaimed that he is the latest prophet, he was told in modern terms he was a wanker and got a tad pissed off. That is when the nasty stuff about evil Jews and unbelievers comes in to the koran. Reading it you wonder how anyone could believe the b*ll sh%t contained int the pages.

If you want to stop “refugee’ dumping into your country, just set up a mandatory detention of new arrivals! Nice and easy, that… /sarc;

Also interesting family history. So your German ancestors originated very near where My German ancestors originated, move to Ireland near my other ancestral group, and came over about the same time on the same boats…. Hmmmm…. I suspect our ancestors may have known each other… sometime and somewhere along the lines…

    @Phil:

I was taking a tour of some of the Roku Hispanic channels today. News on one of them was including the issues of the Islamization of London and the recent attack. It was not particularly kind toward “The Religion Of Peace”… making it pretty clear Latin America was not getting on board with the Anglo self flagellation about disliking being murdered…

Needless to say, I’ve decided to watch more Spanish language TV and brush up my skills. It may be one of the few sane cultures left in a few decades. German culture is toast as the demographic bomb is already exploding there. France gave in decades back with Algeria. The Anglo world seems most ready to tumble right now. What does that leave? Russia, Hungary, maybe some Poland and Czech.. And the Latins… Of that lot, I’m best with the Latin based languages… and not too many Russian speaking countries outside of Russia… (you can forget Polish as they have sentences that run to pages and Hungarian is just a bear to learn if you are not a native speaker – rather like Finish in that, and in the same language family)

My guess is that the Slavic countries will “do what needs doing” in the early waves of reaction. Finno-Ugric language group countries will likely dodge it up front ( Hungary… Finland… Estonia?) Italy has hope due to the Pope… ;-) and the Mafia. France and Germany (all the Germanics, really) see lost causes at this point. Too much “history shaming” for them to get over. That just leaves the rest of the Anglo World and the Hispanic World. ( I’m not going to ‘go Asian’ and Africa is a mess anyway and everywhere). Of them, I hope the Rest Of World anglo bit will figure out what’s up as they watch middle Europe / Scandinavian implosion happen and can recover some sanity. The UK may be too far gone with demographic swamping to pull out of it.

So that leaves Hispanic countries as the likely last refuge for Western Culture. Besides, they’ve not gone all PC on men liking women and women enjoying the game ;-) The Hispanic version of music videos often makes the Anglo version look tame… I can’t imagine Hispanics giving up music, dance, the bare midriff and the visual arts…

So I may end up joining G.Camel in moving southward depending on how things sort out in coming years. (Then again, California is already headed to majority Hispanic and Florida too… so I’m already spending most of my time in Hispanic Cultural enclaves ;-)

Well, with that, I think it is time for a bit more Spanish Immersion… now where did I leave that remote ;-)

  42. Larry Ledwick says:

@EM I suspect our ancestors may have known each other… sometime and somewhere along the lines…

I would not be surprised if we were distant blood relatives if you went back 4-5 generations.

As noted on my fathers side circa 1700 German/French (Palatines came from that border area that changed hands regularly for a few centuries, spent 100 years in Ireland ( Protestant Irish – but I would bet at least one of those 3-4 generations met a nice Irish girl and married her). My Grandmother on that side was born in Hungary around 1900 so I assume near 100% Hungarian but since she was born in northern Hungary possibly some slave stock in her background. On my mothers side her father (maiden name) is very German, and my grandmother on my mothers side is from English stock.

So as an approximation genetically I am probably 20+% Hungarian, 40-50% German 25% English (which might have some German in it) and probably a hint of Irish and Slavic genomes.

Given the genetic bottleneck of the plague years, I suspect most everyone of northern European roots is related near 1300 or so if not later.

So 500 kg of explosives dropped in a barrel from a helicopter is evil but 500 kg dropped from an airplane in a long cylinder is good? Come again?

    @Jeff:

It would seem Germany builds very strong busses. 3 bombs and the thing is mostly intact, with one guy having a broken bone in one hand (I’d speculate he was holding it against the window when it pushed in…).

German footballers being tough sorts too, one said ~”It was only his hand, so nothing important”… now a foot, that would be an issue :-)

Then again, Eurpeans have real football while we have a wresling match with throwing, catching, and the rare occasional kick…

An article on how Sweden is coping with the recent terror truck attack. I shows that stresses are building, and although the main stream is still oblivious and befuddled that people think there is a problem with massive uncontrolled immigration of non-addaptive populations, the news events is finally beginning to break through the media black out.

The real question is will this force necessary change on both sides (resident and immigrant populations) or is it just the fore shocks of things to come?

“Pressure will build until the vessel explodes” is my prediction for all the countries of the EU. The last time this happened France drove the Moors from Spain and Dracula was at work in Romania. Those genes have not left the continent, the cultures are not that much different, and all it takes is enough “stimulus”. Either it happens soon as “immigration reform” along with a load of expulsions, somewhat later as a “Purge” / societal fulmination, or in an end game continental to world war. The Liberal / Progressive / Secular West can not and will not convert to Islam. Islam will refuse to accept the Western Ideals. So the problem will grow with the demographics until it resolves, one way or the other.

The only real question I see is, (to quote a Microsoft support article about a bug in how they handled default gateways): “This behavior is by design”… or by stupid. Evil or stupid, those are the choice.

The EU-Masters think if they mix enough mutually exclusive peoples and ideologies together they can make it impossible for The People to get rid of them and everyone will eventually get along well enough. They need to be reminded of The French Haircut and Charlemagne… and the francesca, for which France is named…

He continued his father’s policy towards the papacy and became its protector, removing the Lombards from power in northern Italy and leading an incursion into Muslim Spain. He campaigned against the Saxons to his east, Christianising them upon penalty of death and leading to events such as the Massacre of Verden. Charlemagne reached the height of his power in 800 when he was crowned Emperor of the Romans by Pope Leo III on Christmas Day at Old St. Peter’s Basilica.

Charlemagne has been called the “Father of Europe” (Pater Europae), as he united most of Western Europe for the first time since the Roman Empire. His rule spurred the Carolingian Renaissance, a period of energetic cultural and intellectual activity within the Western Church. All Holy Roman Emperors considered their kingdoms to be descendants of Charlemagne’s empire, up to the last Emperor Francis II and the French and German monarchies.

We’re one very bad day away from a repeat of history…

I agree David but I posted this serie of three articles because it was the only of its kind that referred to the pilot and a possible motivation for the use of chemical warfare by Syria.

It is my opinion that this has been a flase flag purpetrated by Al Qaida.

Hello Jeff, I also spend a lot of time in Germany and have learned that what the media push is increasingly not what the people think.

However, the third biggest Turkey’s city is called Berlin now and millions of German Turks have shown not to be loyal to Germany but to the Islamo Fascist who currently runs Turkey.

This still is not the biggest problem in the world right now but it will be in the very near future,

We can still turn this around but not for long.

This is the primarys lesson we can learn from the fall of the Roman Empire and why it went down the drain in the first place.

A lot of similarities here and a lot to learn.

  69. David Au says:

Thanks Ron. Yes, I have yet to hear a rational reason why Assad would do this. You are winning on all fronts with Russian backing. Why rock the boat?

Trump said today he has no intention of going into Syria. Good! I would like to hear any reporter ask Hillary or McCain what the follow up plan is, and how is it different from Lybia or Iraq.

Today a MOAB, the most powerfull conventional bomb ever, was dropped on a tunnel network infested with IS terrorists in Afghanistan.
I think this bomb attack was a message to North Korea where it’s leadership is ready to go underground while the US Fleet is steaming up. Several US “news outlets” speculated today on the US to hit the NK nuclear program with a pre emptive strike in order to take out their nuclear program/capability.

I think this will be a higly speculative and dangerous operation for South Korea and Seoul which city of 2.5 million inhabitants risks to get in the crossfire of thousands of NK missiles and massive artillery fire that potentionally could spread havoc and kill thousands.

The reality is that we are at least 8 years too late controling the nuclear program this rogue slave state that black mails friend and foo on regualr intervals. That said this isn’t the first time the Chinese have positioned troops along the NK border. It happened several times in the past and each time the Chinese continued their relationship with NK as business as usual.

The Chinese and the North Koreans have signed an agreement for cooperation from agriculture to technology and the agreement ensures them also of support in case one of the countries is attacked by a hostile foreign nation: mhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sino-North_Korean_Mutual_Aid_and_Cooperation_Friendship_Treatyutual

Trump however semed to have worked his magic on the Chinese Prime Minister and yesterda coal ships from NK underway to China were send back.

This afternoon however the Japanese Prime Minister warned that NK could dip it’s missiles in Anthrax and that he would scramble the Japanese fleet to join the US Carrier Group currently underway and take out all it’s fighter jets to protect Japanenese air space.

I really wonder how the Chinese will respond if they find out that their historic tormentor is part of the alledged deal Trump made with the Chinese. The Chinese really hate the Japanese and they haven’t forgotten about the horrific abuse, rape and murder the Army of the Rising Sun put them trough since they invaded Mansuria.

If Trump can flip on a dime in regard to foreign policy, so can others.

These are interesting day’s but questions remain all over the place.

Rumors go that despite Trumps promise that he will not perform a boots on the ground invasion in Syria and not to establish a no fly zone, tens of thousands of US troops prepare for a Syria tour to eliminate IS. With, according to Trumps words, Russia in the worst relationship with the USA since decades anything is possible.

  76. Larry Ledwick says:

Technical detail – there are heavier conventional bombs
GBU-57A/B Massive Ordnance Penetrator (MOP) is a 30,000-pound (14,000 kg) “bunker buster” bomb.

GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance Air Blast (MOAB ) 22,600 lb ( 10,300 kg ) which was a replacement for the Vietnam era BLU-82B/C-130 “Daisy cutter” bomb 15,000-pound (6,800 kg) conventional bomb which was used to quickly create helicopter (LZ) landing zones by pulverizing a clearing in the jungle.

The GBU-43 is the same size as the WWII era Grand Slam which was a 22,000 lb (10,000 kg) earthquake bomb used by RAF Bomber Command against strategic targets like submarine pens.
It was a thick cased penetrator vs the lighter “Tallboy”, or Bomb, Medium Capacity, 12,000 lb

The major improvement of the GBU-43 is it is GPS guided and can make very precise strikes against soft and medium hard targets.

  77. R. de Haan says:

    Thanks Larry,
I knew about the Daisy Cutter and the Grand Slam they used to destroy bridges and the submarine basis in France. They didn’t even make a direct hit on a bridge. The bomb caused a virtual eartquake that made it fall apart.

Anyhow, these are all massive weapons.

As for Korea I found a video about the operations at the DMZ with the North:

The fact that this is from a recent date is an indication something is brewing.
Should the US go in they will have to eliminate all nuclear capebility, hit all the mobile missile launchers from which they have thousands and all the artillery and the leadership.
The North also has huge stock piles of chemical and biological arms so these have to be taken out as well. All in all a massive task.

But it will be the only way to keep the South safe and sound.

What happens after that will be anybody’s guess.

The Chinese for now asked the US for patience and send in their top negotiators.
So there is still a chance that the entire operation will be limited to an exercise.
In the mean times eyes off the ball in Syria.

Popcorn and bear for the Easter Weekend.

  78. E.M.Smith says:

Were I planning a US atrack on N. Korea, I would have it START with a massive simultanious counter battery fire at their artillery and misslie batteries (spotted in advance with U2 and Sats). Along with anti radiation (radar) attack blinding them and hits on munitions stocks with cruise missiles 10 minutes after the start (so no launch detected until artillary taken out and radars hit).

THEN the big bombs land on the nuke facilities…

Anything missed gets ONE shot off before a huge computerized counterbattery fire kills it. Those shots get to deal with missile defense systems…

I’d take those odds in exchange for eliminating the N. Korean nuclear threat

Leagally, the whole thing is ill defined. Then, being a CF folks decided not to try that again…

  84. philjourdan says:

The whole point in calling Korea a “police action” is two fold. The pristine UN never is involved in wars! And second, it frees the president to bypass congress.

I did not say I like the designation, or even agree with it. I only noted it as Congress never declared war on either Nork or China.
