Macron Has Little Hitler View Of EU

Well, on Franc24 I got to watch Macron describe his “vision” of the EU to the Sorbonne. It’s a frighting one, that’s for sure. It seems grounded in the Lennon song “Imagine” as he described the old, worn out, decrepit antiquated ideas of Nation and Sovereignty… Pushed for an EU police force, EU common immigration system and boarder force, an EU Food Police, a Tobin Tax on every financial transaction throughout the EU and much more.

A while was spent on the need to “Attract new talent” in the Digital Age. To which I must ask: Is France so devoid of smart adolescents and young adults that it can not educate it’s own talent? Hmmm? So we in the USA are told we need to be able to “attract new talent” from Europe and you in Europe are selling the idea you must also “attract new talent”? Doesn’t that all smack just a bit of a Big Lie to drive down wages for talent and do population replacement? Hmmm?

There was the usual trotting out of BoggeyMen to scare the rubes into accepting all this. The “Egg Crisis” ‘proves’ that it is essential for all of the EU to have One Agricultural System and One Food Police watching over it. Climate Change was waved about as justification for several power grabs, the most notable being an EU Wide transport system integration (no doubt with EU taxes and EU Traffic Police and…) that was not described in detail but gave the impression of being a push to all-electric only and making sure the plugs match…

It wasn’t clear if the EU Enforcement Authority desired was just EU Police or an EU Military too, I suspect it was left deliberately a bit vague so as to get both.

There was a pitch for the need to “support migrants” and also send buckets of money to Africa to build up their countries so that they would have less desire to migrate. How sending money to Africa will stop Muslim raids into non-Muslim areas and The Powerful Grafting All The Money, but hey, maybe it’s a French Thing…

The creepiest bit, though, was a pitch that “science” must be held superior to Politics and “business” and other forms of organization. Yeah, right. So now that you have corrupted real science into a back room driven lap dog to find “expert opinion” for whatever your goal might be, you want that to be unquestioned. Got it.

Real Science ™ is based on the idea of constant and incessant challenge of the preexisting Science. It is never settled and it is never undisputed. It can become accepted, even assumed to be right. But it is NEVER unquestioned.

There’s more just as creepy that I didn’t get notes written about. There will undoubtedly be lots of articles. The Guardian has one up already:

IMHO, Britain needs to just run for the exit as fast as it can, screw the idea of any “deal” with folks who think like that, and tell them the Divorce Check will be in the mail Real Soon Now, maybe, someday… WTO rules are way more than good enough and it is Germany and their car companies that lose the most, so they will be much more amenable to a ‘deal’ once the imbalance of trade whacks them in the pocket.

Along those same lines: Hungary, Czech Republic, Poland, and more; likely need to start polishing their running shoes. Yes, this Little Hitler has a French Accent, not German, but then there’s that Napoleon history… I don’t see how a Franco / German 4th Reich is better than the last one…

Macron lays out vision for ‘profound’ changes in post-Brexit EU

French president proposes eurozone finance ministry, ‘rapid reaction force’ and EU-wide asylum agency in Paris speech

A “rapid reaction force” is different from Shock Troops how again? EU-wide Asylum Agency means Paris decides who lives in your country? (Oh, wait, you don’t want an obsolete antiquated ‘ol country now do you… you want to be in the New Improved Holy Progressive Empire…/sarc;)

Emmanuel Macron has set out his vision of a “profound transformation” of the EU, unveiling a series of proposals designed to deepen the bloc politically and harmonise rules.

“The Europe that we know is too weak, too slow, too inefficient,” the French president said in an address at Sorbonne University in Paris. “But Europe alone can give us the ability to act in the world, faced with big contemporary challenges.”

Macron’s proposals for a post-Brexit shake-up include giving the 19-member eurozone a finance minister, budget and parliament, as well as creating a Europe-wide “rapid reaction force” to work with national armies.

He called for a new tax on technology companies such as Facebook and Apple, which are accused of paying too little corporatation tax in Europe, and an EU-wide asylum agency to deal with the migration crisis.

Macron also raised the prospect of major changes to the common agricultural policy, the EU’s farm subsidy programme, which has historically been defended by France and its powerful agricultural lobbies.

French President Emmanuel Macron called on Tuesday for a common European defence force and budget, as well as common asylum offices, border police, financial transaction tax and carbon tax, in a wide-ranging speech setting out his vision for Europe.

Macron started off describing Europe as “an idea carried by optimists and visionaries” while noting that now the idea is “more fragile than ever.”

The French president framed the present in the history of post-war European integration, saying that Europeans are “heirs of two major world wars” that “should have plunged the continent into darkness”, but “we have overcome this pain without forgetting lessons.”

He said that the EU is “too inefficient and too slow”; however, “only Europe can allow us to exist in this changing world”.

So looks to me like the Plan is to tighten the noose rapidly and as much as possible now that those pesky ‘Liberty and Self Determination’ oriented Brits are on the way out…

Perhaps the Slavs and Hungarians can ‘splain it to Macron about why the Holy Roman Empire, the German Empire and the 3rd Reich didn’t work out so well… and that whole French Empire thing too…

Third Reich, official Nazi designation for the regime in Germany from January 1933 to May 1945, as the presumed successor of the medieval and early modern Holy Roman Empire of 800 to 1806 (the First Reich) and the German Empire of 1871 to 1918 (the Second Reich).

I’ll leave it for others to work out the various French Empire attempts. (1st “Colonial” Empire vs 2nd Colonial Empire vs Napoleon Empire vs …)

Top Down Authoritarian does not work out well in the end. Bottom Up by agreement does. Repeat the cycle of Freedom to Empire to Tyranny to Collapse; rinse and repeat, until learned. And do try not to invade Russia again. It hasn’t gone well for y’all.

Will Europe ever let go of the fantasy of a Grand Roman Empire past? Recognize it was in constant turmoil, and existed only on the backs of far more slaves than citizens with most folks horridly oppressed? I doubt it. You’d think after a few thousand years of Empire to Tyranny to Collapse and cycle again, someone would notice… Oh, right, LOTS of folks noticed. Including De Tocqueville… and the founders of the U.S.A.

The most damaging person is the one who thinks they are doing good. They will not stop their destruction until they are dead.

Hitler was not some abnormality. We had Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, Fidel, etc. They all know what needs to be done, and those killed to achieve it are merely paving the way to their eden.

Macron is in the same mold. But then almost all leftists are. The basic values of the individual are a hindrance to their ends. And they will not allow it to get in their way.

The left likes to categorize some as left and some as right. But the truth is, none were on the right. All were on the left. The basic difference is the respect for life. The left has none. The right fights for it.

  2. “I’m from the government and I’m here to help you”….

I used to think that it would be nice to be like some people I’ve met who were absolutely certain that they were right about things. People who know what’s right for everyone else, and who get into a position to be able to make it stick, are pretty dangerous. Of course, that “rightness” does tend to gain followers, too.

Macron does seem to be addressing the labour laws, which for a small company could mean going bust if you employ the wrong person and try to get rid of them (or possibly even if there’s a downturn in the market). There are so many rules and regulations that few (except lawyers) will read the whole “Code du Travail” and understand it.

Europe really wants to become the USE, much the same as the USA. Not quite so easy with all these different languages, but then wasn’t the official language of the USA almost German at one time? The USE could work, much the same as the USA does, but there does seems to be a greater love for more regulations here than the USA – not by the citizens, but by the governments.

It probably boils down to Macron not being old enough yet to have lost the idealism of youth and instead to have gained the more-practical views of age. How people ought to be able to live together in harmony is one thing, but how they actually rub along is another. Of course, some people never grow out of it and realise that there is a percentage of bad people and that some are really nasty.

Britain is well out of it. Better that than a bloody revolution in the UK as the rules start to really bite.

Well, Jesus, EM. EVERYBODY knows we need to spend more money on Education ™.

  4. Lionell Griffith says:

Spending more money on education is like installing a higher powered pump for a dry well. But…but…they had good intentions. Blink…blink…blink.

In today’s ‘Australian’ newspaper, average numeracy literacy levels of Australian
students has dropped. Now on a par with Singapore’s disadvantage-group students.
Emphasis here in Victoria, K-12, teaching empathy and gender politcs, all subjects
linked to themes of social equiity / sustainability. Busy …busy….

Macaroon™ reminds me of someone living in this quote:
“Neurotics build castles in the sky,
    Psychotics live in them,
    And psychiatrists collect the rent.”

Now Europe has their own Moonbeam. Suppose he wears his pink socks while riding a Unicorn (which will be the only thing that the Greens will allow us to drive, before long).

There are many Germans (e.g. AfD and FDP) who would also like a GerExit. Merkel is nowhere near as popular as the YSM would have people believe. But the movers and shakers behind globalism (Soros et. al.) are throwing Trillions, if not hundreds of trillions of dollars at it.

Have a look at , the World Economic Forum site. Not a conservative viewpoint in sight. Pure progressivism. Yeech. They also have a “shapers” group, which is their youth indoctrination arm. Sort of a globalist brownshirts group. Their alumni page is rather revealing, both in content and in viewpoint:

Scary stuff. It seems they think they will determine the future of the world. We need similar organizations (of Deplorables) to push back. Hard.

Jeff – one of the leaders of AfD is a lesbian with two kids, a PhD, who is against gay marriage and Muslims. Try to find a box for that one!

Your link to the World Economic Forum actually goes to the Water Environment Forum.

[Reply: Thanks for pointing that out. I’ve fixed the link with the update from Jeff just below. -E.M.Smith ]

It’s also been noted that areas with high percentages of Moslems voted strongly in favor of the AfD, who have been painted by the YSM as being alt-right. The fact is, the AfD are politically where the CDU used to be 20-30 years ago. I kind of wonder if she’s a lesbian because she couldn’t find a man stronger than her…..

    World Shapers.
The face of socialism, not a blue collar in the bunch. All Elitists that lust to rule others.
All people with large needs and small abilities. They are the reason that Socialism will ALWAYS fail. The takers always take advantage of the makers in a socialist system, it is Human nature. Liberal Progressives think of their grand dreams of Utopia and ignore the dirty little details of reality. Socialists always claim that their brand of socialism has not been properly implemented and therefor not a failure. “Do it right and Utopia will be the result” But THEY will be the cause of the failure because they NEED a larger share then they produce. We don’t need them! Every time Socialism has been tried for thousands of years it always fails and destroys the society that adopts it…pg

  12. E.M.Smith says:

The Original Constitution of Ohio is written in German.

I don’t have a reference, other than my Father-In-Law (3rd Degree Mason and 101st Airborne Sergeant, so I tend to trust him), who asserted that at some point early in the formation of the USA there was a vote as to what language to use. Supposedly, there was only one person’s vote dividing us from German as the answer… Seems a lot of folks were peeved at England at that time and there was a very large German population.

FWIW, a few years back Russia was in a tizzy over the fact that over 1/2 of all American Citizens had German ancestry. America is Majority German!!! What they forgot is the intermarry / diffusion effect. While I’m about 1/4 German (and Dad was 1/2). My Kids are only 1/8 and my grandson is 1/16 German. Now we are all “Of German Ancestry”, but as the grandkid’s Mom identifies a bit more with her 1/4 Puerto Rican and her 1/2 Dutch, he is more likely to think of himself as an English / Irish / Dutch / Puerto Rican… or just an American Mutt like me ;-)

Oh, Dad’s 1/2 German was Amish… so not exactly what Russians think about when they think American Germans!!! Oh My!!! Might attack them with a smoked ham and a home made pickle, but the worst they’ve got in the arsenal is a horse drawn manure spreader… where the only threat is being downwind during use…

Another interesting cluster of Germany was found in Texas. There is even a local dialect… Texasdeutsch. So it isn’t just all North East…

Texas German (German: Texasdeutsch) is a German language dialect spoken by descendants of German immigrants who settled in Texas in the mid-19th century. These “German Texans” founded the towns of Bulverde, New Braunfels, Fredericksburg, Boerne, Walburg, and Comfort in Texas Hill Country, and Schulenburg and Weimar to the east.

So now you know where some of that Texas Attitude comes from ;-)

    Per USE vs USA:

Small Problem: We went out of our way to make a Bottom Up / Libertarian structure. It has lasted about 200 years (though has now transitioned to Central Authority top down – so likely has no more than 50 years more to run). Europe loves their Central Authority Top Down, so no single government seems to last long (outside the Monarchy that has hereditary anchors – though the particulars of the actual government rotate…)

For the USE to thrive and last, it needs a very different structure from the one it has today. The Central Authority Empire falls into Tyranny fairly fast. Then to Revolution and Chaos.

  13. EM – the UK has transitioned to a top down bureaucracy anyway, so I’m no worse off being in France (and the weather is normally better anyway). I could hope for changes in both (but hope is not a strategy) but at least here I have enough land to keep myself. Central authority fails after a while, but it takes somewhat longer to get an Englishman riled up.

For German heritage, there’s also the Pennsylvania Dutch (actually Deutsch) who retain the old recipes from Germany. We’re still all mutts, though, which is really the best thing anyway.

  14. Jeff says:

I think the vote for the national language was somehow involved with Pennsylvania. And there’s a town in Texas they call “Fritzburg” (Fredericksburg), which has been a hit on various shows and blogs over here in beautiful downtown Deutschland. There’s still plenty of time to get to their Oktoberfest:

A while back, sometime shortly after “The Wall” fell, there was discussion about what to do about the ethnic Germans who had been forced to go to Russia. As it turns out, they could return to (usually the eastern part of) Germany, and fast-tracked to citizenship, often immediately. This right of return went back, IIRC, two generations, maybe three.

A big joke at the time was “don’t let the Americans hear about it, we’ll be overrun”.

Now we’re being overrun, but not (sadly) by Americans…..

N.B. Los Angeles has a lot of Germans, and there’s a healthy population in the SF Bay Area.
They have the “Phoenix Club” and the “Almenrausch Schuhplattler”, respectively, as meeting/social groups (among others). Not forgetting lots and lots in Florida, Ohio, Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota, and other parts of the midwest.
