Take a gander at this: https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/1002981958509584385.html. If true, someone’s been doing a lot of footwork and has been using their head for something other than a hat rack.

Way down in it (item 45) there’s a reference to a Podesta email and a Wikileaks link to it:

(45) The Clinton campaign intended to institute a Pied Piper campaign into the Presidential election, where they selected three Republican candidates for their project: Ben Carson, Ted Cruz and Donald Trump.

https://wikileaks.org/podesta-emails/emailid/1120

Note that the document is an “attachment” so if you go to Wikileaks, make sure to click on the attachment tab.

This email shows the DNC “strategy” which, contrary to prior practice of just ignoring “minor” (i.e. non-RNC-chosen) candidates, they would promote them and ask their media “friends” to give them lots of coverage. To make them more “legitimate”, as it were. One presumes they were afraid that a candidate like Jeb Bush, being basically a very good Governor with basically middle of the road policies and attitudes (and with a Mexican wife so hard to slur him with “racist”) that he had a Very Good Chance of shooting down Hillary. Why would you want to go up against an experienced, smart, well versed candidate with good grasp of the issues and a pleasant personality?

So the DNC decided the best thing to do was pump up the minor candidates. Ben Carson, Ted Cruz, and Donald Trump.

Little did they realize they were providing a platform to Just What The Deplorables Wanted and were busy dumping fuel into the Trump Tank…

Podesta Pied Piper Email

Podesta Pied Piper Email

So let’s look at a couple of the things in this strategy document, shall we?

1) Force all Republican candidates to lock themselves into extreme conservative positions that will hurt them in a general election;

Thank you for giving us someone who will actually push the conservative agenda! Were it not for your fine work here, we might have had Yet Another RINO not actually getting anything done. Bravo! (You might want to consider a temperature check on the voters before pushing this angle again… when we are all pissed to the point of spitting at the RNC being door mats is likely not the best time to be pushing for a Real Conservative, well, from your POV. From mine, well, I’m thrilled.)

Pied Piper Candidates
There are two ways to approach the strategies mentioned above. The first is to use the field as a whole to inflict damage on itself similar to what happened to Mitt Romney in 2012. The variety of candidates is a positive here, and many of the lesser known can serve as a cudgel to move the more established candidates further to the right. In this scenario, we don’t want to marginalize the more extreme candidates, but make them more “Pied Piper” candidates who actually represent the mainstream of the Republican Party. Pied Piper candidates include, but aren’t limited to:
• Ted Cruz
• Donald Trump
• Ben Carson
We need to be elevating the Pied Piper candidates so that they are leaders of the pack and tell the press to them seriously.

I’m assuming that “tell the press to them seriously” was supposed to be “tell the press to treat them seriously”.

Well, again, a heart felt thanks! Since we now know the press are all on their knees servicing your needs, we can clearly identify that it was all YOUR doing to have Trump treated like a serious candidate (unlike now when seeing the error of your ways it’s all Trash Talk Trump 24 x 7 x 365…). But seriously, putting the Press “on side” with Trump, that was golden! Promoting him. “Elevating” in your words. Just Champion stuff!

Then “a cudgel to move the more established candidates further to the right”. If only. But sorry, Jeb just stood there, deer in the headlights, staunchly defending his mediocre middle. But, the good news, you did highlight Trump as firmly promoting the Right Wing Agenda and did managed to get some of the other fluff off the stage.

“Represent the mainstream of the Republican Party”? Well, sorry, you struck out on that one. He represented / represents Mainstream Middle America. See the RINOs of the RNC have moved well into Kennedy Democrat land (and then some). Hardly any real conservatives or Classical Libertarians in the bunch. But you did highlight Trump as just that man. Thanks for that!

“our coalition (communities of color, millennials, women) and independent voters. ”

Really? No White Working Men allowed? OK… BTW, you might want to check just what “independent voter” means. It does NOT mean “Democrat Coalition Member”… Just sayin’… I’m a registered independent, as in truly independent, as in last time I saw either a Democrat OR a Republican represent The American Working Stiff was a very long time ago. JFK & Ronald Reagan ago. (Note that their economic policies are very similar, almost identical, and similar to Trumps.)

You then list how to undermine each candidate, in order. But curiously, Donald Trump is not on that list. I think maybe that was a Boo-boo.. ;-)

Undermining Their Message & Credibility

Most of the more-‐established candidates will want to focus on building a winning general election coalition. The “Pied Pipers” of the field will mitigate this to a degree, but more will need to be done on certain candidates to undermine their credibility among our coalition (communities of color, millennials, women) and independent voters. In this regard, the goal here would be to show that they are just the same as every other GOP candidate: extremely conservative on these issues. Some examples:

• Jeb Bush
o What to undermine: the notion he is a “moderate” or concerned about regular Americans; perceived inroads with the Latino population.

• Marco Rubio
o What to undermine: the idea he has “fresh” ideas; his perceived appeal to Latinos

• Scott Walker
o What to undermine: the idea he can rally working-‐ and middle class Americans.

• Rand Paul
o What to undermine: the idea he is a “different” kind of Republican; his stance on the military and his appeal to millennials and communities of color.

• Bobby Jindal
o What to undermine: his “new” ideas

• Chris Christie
o What to undermine: he tells it like it is.

Then further down under “Muddying the waters” we have

The goal, then, is to have a dossier on the GOP candidates […] In this regard, any information on scandals or ethical lapses on the GOP candidates would serve well. We won’t be picky.

And if you don’t have one you’ll pay to have something made up? You just might want to be a little more “picky” next time when paying for “dossiers” to be created (fabricated?). The Peeing Prostitutes was just so outlandish as to land into the “Crazy Talk” bucket as soon as seen. If you are going to make up lies about someone, do consider that they need some shred of reality, some at least microscopic connection to truth; or they just become laughing stocks. Rather like Hillary when she lost a “sure thing” by being the most repugnant and sleazy candidate in the last 50 years, and that’s saying a lot. A woman who lost the woman’s vote, a Democrat who couldn’t keep the blacks on the Democratic Plantation, and even with cheating and being spoon fed the debate questions could not counter punch Trump.

Above all else, we thank you for her. Had you prevented her stealing the nomination from Bernie, we’d have a socialist president right now. That, in my opinion, was your finest hour…

Thank You DNC! You got what you wanted, a Trump candidacy. An easy to beat opponent against their girl, a real professional politician.
Back in early 2016 Debbie and Donna bragged that they had “Fixed” things. Their girl Hillary was going to be elected the next President, It was a sure thing.
They forgot about the Independents ABC …pg

  2. Larry Ledwick says:

They also took for granted their black ethnic block voters and assumed they would vote in typical numbers.

There were a lot of them who made “what have we got to lose” votes after getting stiff armed by Obama and getting nothing out of 8 years and a controlled democratic congress except increased racial tensions and riots by BLM etc.

Some of them just gave up, and stayed home seeing no point in voting at all after the dismal failure of the Obama white house to do anything useful for their voting constituency.

I understand how the deep state, which includes almost all the senators and representatives, serve the deep state first. But clearly the Podesta emails show that the “deep state” is ONLY serving the democrats, not the republican members (as they were out to sabotage the deep state republicans). And yet those same individuals meekly accepted their fake roles in the election. Even now, you hear nothing from Jeb about how he was submarined by his pals the Clintons.

And THAT is a RINO. It is not a republican who is not conservative. Republican = conservative is NOT a truism. It is a Quisling Republican who takes their orders from democrats. That is McCain, Jeb, Marco, etc. I really do not care for republicans. But RINOs (as defined here) are worse than the Grahamnestys. They are either actively working for the opposition, or playing the part of a useful fool. And that destroys even the appearance of a 2 party system.

  5. Paco Mack says:

That was good insight on the lefty dominated deep state and the puppet republicans who serve them. I like the terminology, RINOS & Grahmnesties. I wonder what percentage of the republican party are still loyal and true conservatives? This is getting grimmer and grimmer if the deep state is slowly expanding to become purely ruled by progressives. That would be the end of the world.
