    Here is one for laughs:

    So funny to see little Adam Schitt (D-CA) talking about the fact that Acting Attorney General Matt Whitaker was not approved by the Senate, but not mentioning the fact that Bob Mueller (who is highly conflicted) was not approved by the Senate!

  8. R. de Haan says:

    The entire Brexit negotiations have been a scam. The latest pole published at Zero Hedge shows an even bigger majority the electorate in favor of leaving the EU, even the hard way. If they are not served by Westminster some thing is going to burn.
    Remember, those guy’s are driving on the wrong side of the road from the moment they had something you can call traffic and if they want out, they really, really want out.

    E. M.,
    That # as pound thing:
    It is difficult to unlearn things. Of course that is why the correct/right stuff ought to be learned first.
    So, I will always read # as pound. Not sad.

    Seems you have been looking at Steven Hayward’s “This Week In Pictures”. If not, I’ll say great minds run ….

    He usually gets this up by Saturday. There is a theme to them; latest being election recounts.

    I don’t get the porcupine and bubble bath one. Oh well. I stared at it for a few minutes but still no good.

  12. llanfar says:

    No bubbles – all popped immediately.

    @John F.H.:

    I’d not been there, but like it and will now ;-)

    I just started reading Gab.ai humor and saving some of the memes, then decided to share some… so likely just a parallel development effect ;-)

    @Larry L:

    Too me a couple of minutes too, then I realized the pokey quills pop all the bubbles as the form so “what’s the point” of bubbles? Then it was cute ;-)

  14. Steven Fraser says:

    On the First/2nd Amendment: I think its also amusing to equate ‘Birth Control as a Right’ which must be funded by employers via insurance, and that other people are required to fund. Roll that over to the 2nd amendment… fund my gun.

    I picked “view image” at your link to get the .jpg so it could just be seen here. Nice one ;-)

    But the image link barfed on me as it want’s to force folks to click the links… So I loaded up the image here instead:

    It bothers me when folks are manipulative… ;-)

    Russian open carry

  31. E.M.Smith says:

    Now that is a hoot! And why? Because I want one!!

    Looks to me like a Freedom Arms mini revolver .22; a Glock maybe?, a Ruger revolver about .357, then maybe a Ruger auto in the belt? Can’t see enough to be sure… and there are so many small 9mm in that general form factor. But then no idea what the 2nd semi-auto is (looks like the magazine is out) but maybe a 2nd one of whatever the bottom one is?

    Put one of those on each hip, with a block of spare magazines on a chest plate, and sling an AR-15 or pump shotgun over the back and you might, I say might, as in maybe might have “enough gun” ;-)

  32. H.R. says:

    Re the Open Carry meme – When my wife was trying to decide on what gun she wanted for concealed carry, my nephew (a deputy sheriff) owned some of the guns she was interested in.

    We went to the range so my wife could try them out. The nephew shows up carrying… nothing at all in a range bag or pistol case. He was empty handed.

    We got to the range and he starts pulling out the guns, one at a time, for my wife to try. It turns out that he was carrying six firearms concealed in various places on his person.

    When we were taking the required 12-hour Concealed Carry training, someone asked the instructor how many guns were legal to carry. He said there was no limit. You just needed to have a CCW permit. The most the instructor ever had concealed was an even dozen. There wasn’t a lot of time for chitchat in that class, so we didn’t get to find out why he needed to carry 12 concealed handguns. Thanksgiving dinner with the relatives? Who knows?
