Nepotism Biden / Ukraine / The Trump Smear – A Summary

Tim Pool once again does a nice summary of what’s really going on with this whole Ukraine Flap. He sites sources (that you can read on pause if desired) and gives his opinion of why folks do what they do.

My thumbnail sketch of it is that “someone” unknown is claimed to be a “Whistle-blower”, but isn’t. They have no personal knowledge and only heard something from someone else. That’s called a Rumor Monger.

It looks like when Trump was talking to the Ukrainian folks he said it was OK with him if they wanted to investigate a corrupt company. One where Joe Biden’s son was sucking down $50,000 / MONTH (clearly due to his parental connections to power). Seems Joe Biden had threatened Ukraine with holding back $1 BILLION if they did not FIRE the Prosecutor looking into the corruption.

Now in my book that’s a 2-fer. Obstruction of justice in getting the prosecutor fired and nepotism in making sure The Kid rakes in the dough.

So Trump said his admin would not blackmail Ukraine if they investigated corruption and that it was OK for them to stop crimes. Wow, the nerve! /sarc;

Now this is going through the usual Democratic Truth Washing / Removal Process and coming out the other side as Trump blackmailing Ukraine to drum up a persecution of Hunter Biden to smear Joe. Then Occasional Cortex runs with it and is livid that they didn’t start Trump impeachment over this last week…

The Stupid Is Strong in that one.

OK, now I know what the Ukraine Impeach Screech is about. More noise about nothing.

Here’s the Pool video. 26 minutes that saved me a lot of digging around to find out what was really going on:

    It also appears that George Soros was among those protected in the Biden inspired prosecutorial firings…pg.

    Here’s a good bit of the Giuliani interview on FNS:

    It’s worth watching.

  3. gallopingcamel says:

    Trump hatred is driving these folks insane.

    Biden is shooting himself in the foot by drawing attention to the Ukraine given that it will expose his corrupt actions to protect his son from prosecution. Let’s hope he goes “pedal to the metal” on this.

  4. A C Osborn says:

    I think the “leaker” may have been the Pres or someone working for him.
    If he had directly asked for an investigation in to the Biden family he would have been shot down in flames.
    But by making it about a “Trump impeachable wrongdoing” he had them all jumping on board.
    Played like a fiddle comes to mind.

  6. Pouncer says:

    There’s a lot of fuss about the President making a “promise” during a phone call — apparently rather than formalizing and spelling out an “agreement” on paper during a meeting.

    Seems to me it very much depends on context. “I promise to send you that specific requested amount of money” is different from “I promise you we will look into that issue soon.”

  7. philjourdan says:

    Watching how this is playing out, I am beginning to wonder if the “leaker” is not Trump himself! He set those idiots up!

  8. jim2 says:

    Trump is threatening to release a recording of the phone call …

  9. tom0mason says:

    That’s called a Rumor Monger — yes ummm.
    You mean like having no first-hand evidence that some has done anything wrong (or bad) but keep on the ‘moral crusade’ repeating hearsay from former government employees.
    Oh well back to burning ants.

  10. Graeme No.3 says:

    Accidentally heard National Public Radio on “our” ABC this afternoon, briefly. The announcer(?) was tying himself in knots about “if Trump said this” and “if Trump promised this” or if “Trump threatenned this” then could it be illegal? His answer from (presumably) a lawyer was “We don’t know what was said, if it was said, nor do we know if any promise or threat was made”. Off the announcer went again, especially about AOC saying something, at which point the off button beckoned.
    These Democrats are crazy. Literally mad. Unfortunately I can’t vote against them.

  11. gallopingcamel says:

    @Graeme No.3:
    “These Democrats are crazy. Literally mad. Unfortunately I can’t vote against them.”

    But you can vote against similar craziness “Down Under”‘.

  12. E.M.Smith says:

    The thing I regret most about this whole journey into the Global Warming Narrative and then the eventual necessary follow the money trail into the Political Narrative has been the discovery that things were vastly more corrupted than I’d ever imagined before. $Millions of bribe-o and slush money slopping around the Democratic Party (including foreign money and governments) and one presumes some share to the Republicans as well. Likely similar things involving M.P.s / Brexit in Britain. Whole armies of NGOs funded with $Billions from Soros and looking to change the world to the desires of that creepy megalomaniac. Organizations set up entirely for the purpose of demographic flooding of the prosperous west (to destroy it so it can be remade in their utopian socialist model).

    It just is so sick.

    I knew the 3rd world hell holes were full of corrupt government “officials” and every Banana Republic had their circle of The Rich Few who ran everything (and didn’t see the need for a moral compass). But I used to believe that the Anglosphere was mostly honest, moral, and true.

    Not any more.

    Now it’s clear that The Rot is all over the Democratic party, and well distributed throughout our government and universities. Well covered over with a good “show”; but still visible with a bit of scraping at it. Corrupt “professors” doing corrupt “science” – some for big “Prizes” (even if by proxy via the UN Committee) and buckets of money, others for “publish or perish” barriers. Corrupt Government “leaders” getting buckets of bribe-o for their kids and “foundations”. The UN as cheer leader of the Corrupt, spreading it globally.

    Yet nothing is done to fix any of it.

    I wonder if it was always that way and I just hadn’t seen it yet, or if this is a “modern” thing…

    Usually systems that are large and enriching the “owners” have to crash and burn to be replaced. What will end a global corruption? Will we need a whole global collapse? Is it even possible for a Trump to “fix it”? Or will it just be a short delay in The Agenda…

  13. p.g.sharrow says:

    When the Obamanation took over the Bush administration gave them a $680 Billion wet kiss for “Shovel Ready Jobs” of that $40 billion disappeared. Obama said when asked where it all went. “As to the $40 billion, I can’t tell you where it went.” Can not or will not? A lot of the $680 billion went into agencies that doled it out as matching funds and grants to NGOs that have allegiance to the Soros organization…pg

  14. Larry Ledwick says:

    Trump just authorized release of an unredacted transcript of the phone call the Left are going ballistic over.

    https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2019/09/24/donald-trump-authorizes-release-of-ukraine-phone-call-transcript/

  15. Larry Ledwick says:

    Well here we go, Pelosi is planning to kick off Trump impeachment this evening.

    Merge this with British courts ruling against the house of commons shut down and you see that all across the western democracies the Globalists are panicking, they realize they have one small window left to push through their program or they will lose it for a generation so they are going for broke.

    The Dems are self destructing as is the EU, it is now just a matter of time, not if but when.

  16. E.M.Smith says:

    Watched the Pelosi announcement. On CBS I think their news channel on the Roku.

    She had that creepy smile she gets when she is giddy about hurting someone. Painful to watch.

    So, OK, the Dims have their formal impeachment go ahead. Tomorrow the nothingburger transcript. But once started they won’t let go of their impeachment new toy. Then what…

    Sigh. It is very sad how evil, immoral, underhanded, and entrenched the globalist / deep state reach is. Attacking any political leader globally that is not on their payroll. Brazil in play too. Italy, Austria, Poland being smeared.

    Just sooooo wrong…

    Sky UK was talking about Boris and a resign or get in legal jeopardy of some kind. Their supreme court basically saying lots of prior prorogues were unconstitutional too Guess it is easier when it isn’t a written constitution…

    Corbin was giving a standard Democrat speech; free everything and the rich pay. He’s playing up Illegal Boris.

    It seems that the leftists just love Lawfare…

  17. jim2 says:

    You can bet the problem for the dimowits is Ginsburg isn’t long for this world.

  18. p.g.sharrow says:

    Whom the gods would destroy, they first make mad!
    Time to shift the shoe to the other foot and attack, The Democrats have enjoyed freedom of attack while Trump has been on defense. The YSM has been the Democrat attack dogs, but, that is beginning to falter as the corruption of the leadership is becoming too obvious, too in your face for the opinion makers to ignore.I smell a change in the wind…pg

  19. philjourdan says:

    @EM – I do not think the rot we are seeing now is that old. I trace it back to the first Bush. There was always graft and greed, but it became naked and brazen when the Bushes put in with the deep state and the democrats Once they knew there was no “controlling authority”, they just went wild.

    But Trump is playing this very cannily. I thought that Pelosi at least understood the game, but I am not so sure now. Trump could have cut this off at the pass if he did not want it to occur. But notice how his releases are not timed to stop it, but to embarrass them (not that they will be embarrassed as they are too stupid to be). The timing is too perfect, He has been baiting the squad into a homicidal rage, but Pelosi was not biting. So he had to get her as well. Enter a fake whistleblower. As the call will now be released, after the toothpaste is out of the tube, there is no turning back for the democrats. But there is also no there there. And Trump will string this out for a very long time to get them really angry so they do not see his next move.

    I sometimes wonder if I was ever that stupid when I got very mad. I probably was. As The Duke once said “The angry he gets, the better I like it. Because then he is not as good.”

  20. H.R. says:

    There needs to be a vote to start an impeachment investigation. Pelosi did not announce a vote, Just an “Official Impeachment Inquiry” which is exactly the same as No-nads Nadler’s Impeachment Inquiry.

    Nothing changed. It was all just red meat tofu for the base.

  21. Larry Ledwick says:

    Yep just a carrot for the base to make them think that something is about to happen.

  22. jim2 says:

    I’m wondering if Trump and his administration have enough on the Dimowit Russia ploy that they could declassify a small mountain of incriminating evidence against them and turn the tables.

  23. Larry Ledwick says:

    It is all one big happy family

    Like pulling a loose thread on a sweater it is all going to come undone thanks to this move to impeach President Trump, they just stepped on the switch of a land mine and don’t realize it yet – or they do and they are trying to take the least likely way to go to the gallows.

  24. gallopingcamel says:

    Behold the boomerang!

    This does not look good………….for the Biden family.

  25. E.M.Smith says:

    @Beththeserf:

    Strange how so many (most? all?) the trails end up back at Soros, one way or another…

    Russia, India and his home nation of Hungary all clipped his wings or tossed him and his NGOs out. USA needs to do the same. He is the source of just way too much evil and corruption in the world.

    @G.C.:

    Thanks for the PDF link. Just finished reading it. Unfortunately, it DOES have POTUS asking Ukraine to look into Biden and the prosecutor. That’s enough of a “hook” for the Dims to hang an impeachment finding on. The only good thing is that, near as I can tell, POTUS was doing a good thing in that the whole Biden Mess is clear pay-to-play and extortion under color of office by Biden. So it will be a “race condition” between the Dimocrats saying it’s political “IMPEACH!!!!” and Trump saying “Corruption ought to be investigated and this looks fishy” and gets a lot of air time on Fox for the video of Biden saying he blackmailed Ukraine into firing the prosecutor.

    So, OK, no quid-pro-quo “Investigate Biden or no cookies”, so that’s a good thing; but it isn’t the complete Free Pass it would have been with no reference to Biden or the fired prosecutor at all.

    And, as we all know by now, when the situation is Neutral, the Dims will scream bloody murder and start the Impeach screech about it. I can already hear the Spin Engines at NYT, MSNBC, etc. etc. spinning up to 100,000 rpm turbine speed… spouting nonsense about how Trump clearly asked Ukraine to dig up dirt on Biden and that’s political and of course POTUS just talking is pressure….

    So, IMHO, it isn’t over by a log shot and will be worse before it gets better.

  26. jim2 says:

    Asking Ukraine to look into criminal activity isn’t a crime and therefore not impeachable. It doesn’t matter that Biden is trying to get the Dimowit nomination.

  27. gallopingcamel says:

    @Chiefio,
    It will never be over. The inept Dems and their lickspittle media are as tireless as Wily Coyote. They keep dropping anvils that morph into boomerangs.

    There is a reason for this. Everything they accuse Trump of doing has already been done by their side.

    They will never stop because they have no chance of beating Trump at the ballot box. Their only hope is a coup by the Deep State. As the level of desperation rises, the Deep State shenanigans are increasingly exposed so there is a growing list of senior officials who could be indicted based on what is already in the public domain. It remains to be seen whether the DoJ will indict government officials other than people linked to Trump.

    Over the weekend I was watching Danny Willett winning the golf tournament at Wentworth (what a course!). The main adverts shown involved Morning Joe & Mika talking about what everyone needs to do to “Beat Trump”. Why would a “News” organization destroy any pretense of objectivity in a TV ad? Sorry, I could not find a link.

  28. jim2 says:

    Trump interview NOW on TV with Ukraine President. Golden!!

  29. jim2 says:

    Trump just gave one hell of a press conference from the UN. He is executing a headlong charge into the Dimowit lines. The talking heads on the network I was watching called Trump a liar and said he is accusing Biden and the Dimowits of doing what he did!!!! The IRONY!!! We’ve hit the tipping point.

    From the article:

    A defiant President Trump said during a press conference in New York Wednesday that he wants “full transparency” not only over the “so-called whistleblower” allegations leveled against him, but also “from Joe Biden and his son Hunter on the millions of dollars that have been quickly and easily taken out of Ukraine and China.”

    Trump additionally demanded “transparency from Democrats who went to Ukraine and attempted to force the new president … to do things that they wanted under the form of political threat. They threatened him if he didn’t do things — now that’s what they’re accusing me of, but I didn’t do it.”

    @WEschenbach
    And in an almost predictable plot twist, it turns out that Democratic Senators wrote to the Ukrainian Prosecutor in May 2018 asking him to … wait for it … investigate Trump.

    @Larry L:

    Gee… so Trump has the law on his side, eh? Hmmm….

    @Jim2:

    Caught it as a replay on YouTube. Nice ;-)

    @G.C.:

    The Left / Socialists believe that ALL activities are to be to support The State. All that has happened is that as the Socialist Doctrine has been propagandized to the Journalism Schools, they have been taught to believe they are supposed to do everything to support The Doctrine, thus, inject a political angle into everything (as much as it makes me want to puke…)

    So people “stay away in droves” and their ratings reduce to a few Fellow Travelers…

    It was one of two people. Then-Secretary of State John Kerry or then vice president Joe Biden. And they would say, look, we don’t know what the law is, we don’t care if you can do this or not, we understand that protecting whistleblowers is a matter of human rights and you could do this if you want to. But if you protect this man, if you let this guy out of Russia, there will be consequences. We’re not going to say what they’re going to be, but there will be a response.

    Anyhow, the kick-ass START of the Draining The Swamp happened and all I was aware of was “hospital time”, which translates to “Nobody knows nuttin’, but we’ll tell you all about it real soon now“. Waiting…. waiting… waiting….

    It appears that old Suicide bug it going around again. Wonder if the Clinton Foundation or Binden did any banking with these folks.

  40. H.R. says:

    Thanks, beth. Much appreciated. The surgery went very well. As usual, the anesthesia was the wild card. She was very slow coming out.

    For those that don’t know, anesthesiologists in the US have the highest insurance premiums because that’s where things go wrong. Cut this, snip that, make sure the patient doesn’t bleed out from some inadvertent snip, and surgeons are golden.

    But anesthesiologists bear the burden of figuring out the exact combination of weight vs. an individual’s tolerance, and possible allergy to, a given anesthetic. Poor dears! I have always been way less concerned with surgery than with the anesthesiology involved. Heck! The Incas had trepanning down pat, for reasons unknown, but they seemed to have the anesthesiology under control.

  42. Larry Ledwick says:

    Democrat Senators, Bob Menendez, Dick Durbin & Patrick Leahy tried to BLACKMAIL Ukraine into investigating President Trump.

    They wanted Ukraine to either help Mueller with his coup attempt or lose military aid.

  43. E.M.Smith says:

    @Larry L:

    That Laura Loomer Link is fascinating. I had no idea Ukraine was so much “in play” as part of this whole mess and had been used so much by the Obama Admin.

    It “sort of” makes sense. Soros funds a “Color Revolution” to put their folks in power. Then they treat it as a base of operations for the “Color Revolution” planned for the USA… Just like in “Go”, where you place some stones then used them to build your base of attack on the next section of the board. Only thing is, they thought they had “two eyes” (an unassailable position with no way of placing a new stone to capture it) when they really had a “false eye” (what looks like 2 eyes, but placing a stone captures one of the eyes).

    Side Note: For anyone who has not played Go and likes chess or checkers at all; it is a much more dynamic and challenging game that has implications for wars and conflicts… It is especially at teaching the subtleties of indirect attack and infiltration…

    BTW, there was a time in the middle of the Obama Admin when the markets started acting “wrong” and I basically sidelined my trading activity. Had enough cash to reach retirement and things were “squirrely”. Don’t know if it’s related…

    @H.R.:

    Hope things go well for you and yours.

    Don’t worry about missing the starting gun. So far it was most of the horses still at the barn and someone fired off the gun early. Now everyone is suddenly jumping on horses and trying to find the race track… ;-)

    The real interesting bits will come later…

    BTW, I got a nice Samsung Galaxy (something… J?) as a Tracfone (prepaid burner type) for about $85 at Best Buy (Walmart was cheaper but sold out). Now the deal is, his is about a $400 device but they sell it dirt cheap expecting you to pay the monthly plan / refill cards to keep it working: BUT it works just fine on WiFi even without a Telco service plan….

    So it is my emergency browser and such device (and something of a backup phone – buy a card and fill it when needed) along with my dumb flip phone for actual phone service. Just turn on WiFi and you have a dandy miniature tablet…

  44. H.R. says:

    Good tip on the phone, E.M. I’ll have a look at one.

    I have about half a dozen of these. It’s cheaper to buy a new phone than a new “card” for days and minutes of service.

    Wish I could figure out a way to turn them into a cluster of computes …

  48. Power Grab says:

    @ HR:

    I’m glad to hear that Mrs. HR is on the mend….and on the way home. As they say, “A hospital is no place for a sick person!” ;-)

    My dad was a medical professional. He told me one time that anesthesiologists control the surgery, and the surgeon is not allowed to act until the anesthesiologist gives the go-ahead.

    Maybe Mrs HR has the same type of system as I do. If they knock me out completely, my poo-producing machinery stays offline for at least a day longer than it does for other people.

    Right before my surgery a few years ago, I had what I thought was a fun interview with the anesthesiologist. He rolled his computer into my little space and started asking what meds or supplements I was taking. I handed him my full-page, single-spaced typewritten document, complete with brand names, dosages, and dates. It took him quite a while to enter it all. When he got done, he said that since there was no research that documented what happened when you combined my stuff with what they planned to give me, he wanted me to keep on taking everything up until the day of surgery. All the standard handouts said you had to stop taking all meds and supplements a week before surgery. I figured they planned to use me as a guinea pig. I was delighted!

    And when I asked when I could resume taking my probiotics, he said that I could take them whenever I could take things by mouth. Again, that was the answer I wanted to hear!

    Get well soon, Mrs. HR! :-)

  49. H.R. says:

    The Mrs. is home and doing well. The surgery required an abdominal incision, so she’s fine up and walking or just standing and she’s fine laying down. She says the pain isn’t all that bad.

    But getting up or down brings the abdominals into play so that’s the ouch! time for her. That should back off slowly, day by day, over the course of the next week or two.

    It also hurts like hell if she tries to throw anything, so I’m safe for the next week or two ;o)

    Thanks to all for your concern and good wishes. It looks like she’ll be fit as a fiddle in no time.

  50. beththeserf says:

    Calmness reigns, H.R. )

  51. philjourdan says:

    @HR – Great news for Mrs HR! Fortunately for me, when I had the partial nephrectomy last year, they drilled 3 holes in me. I was out of the hospital in 24 hours. And really no pain. But I understand now why I had to pee on my own before the let me out thanks to Power Grab’s explanation.

    My SIL had a hernia a few months ago (OJI), and it was laparoscopic as well. I an just amazed at how surgery has changed in my life time!

    As for this story, the more that happens, the more convinced I am that Trump has set the whole thing up. I heard one talking head say “when you have to lie to support your point, you have no point” and hearing Schiffless’ opening monologue seems to prove that point.

  52. Larry Ledwick says:

    Oh I so hope this is the real deal!
    BREAKING: A large cache of confidential foreign documents have just been leaked implicating Joe Biden, George Soros, Hillary Clinton and Joseph Misfud’s collusion and possible criminal activity in Ukraine.

    The brand new version of the whistleblower complaint form, which was not made public until after the transcript of Trump’s July 25 phone call with the Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky and the complaint addressed to Congress were made public, eliminates the first-hand knowledge requirement and allows employees to file whistleblower complaints even if they have zero direct knowledge of underlying evidence and only “heard about [wrongdoing] from others.”

Trump has set the trap and knows who these people are and now they have declared themselves to be Criminals. They have been working with the Clintons since the days of the Iran-Contra operation…pg

    The President has a new video out referencing Ukraine and impeachment.

    Twitter is promoting this – if Nancy Pelosi is 3rd in line of succession guess what?

  61. E.M.Smith says:

    They may be promoting it, but what in the world has Pence done, at all? Certainly nothing that comes even close to an impeachable offense. I can’t see the Senate “going there” at all. (Unless the CIA has dirt on 51 of them…)

    @P.G.:

    I’m getting more enamored of the C.I.A. as the key element. Just way too many “coincidences” pointing that way. Not the least of which is the Clinton Death List that just keeps growing and not a single case of Arkancide getting any investigation? Smells of someone with credentials showing up and saying “You never saw anything… or you too disappear”.

    Then their fingerprints on the “complaint”, and that their boy Brennan was in it up to his ears…

    and more.

    The TLAs are clearly complicit at a minimum and looking ever more like causal.

    Trump needs to start the indictment train rolling full speed and now, or he will be drowned out in the stampede to impeach. It is time to start pruning the corruption tree.

  62. E.M.Smith says:

    AH, found out where that all started. Here’s the Huff-n-Puff Piece on Pence (say that 3 times fast ;-)
    https://www.huffpost.com/entry/trump-pence-president-pelosi_n_5d8c49c6e4b0e9e760472a5b

    “I think you should ask for Vice President Pence’s conversation because he had a couple of conversations also,” Trump said.

    Trump also said he and Pence would both be exonerated, and called the vice president’s conversations with Ukraine “perfect.”

    Critics of the administration are now envisioning a scenario in which both Trump and Pence end up impeached. While it would take an unlikely sequence of events for that to happen, the reaction caused #PresidentPelosi to trend Wednesday night and Thursday morning, given that the speaker of the House would be next in the line of succession:

    Sigh. The Left is so TDS and just not-so-smart.

    Trump is undoubtedly using this as a lever to get some more Juicy Bits about Democratic Corruption in Ukraine into the news cycle. He has undoubtedly read the “memorialized” transcripts of them and so knows just where to put the red dot…

    “It appears that this is a C.I.A. dirty tricks operation.”

    That sounds plausible to me. “If True” it begs a couple of quetions:

    1. Is Gina Haspel as crooked as John Brennan?
    2. Or has she failed to control the bad apples at the CIA?

    Either way it is bad………we can’t allow crooks or incompetents to occupy high offices so failing a convincing explanation Gina Haspel needs to go and let’s hope Christopher Wray is right behind her.
