RSBN – Live From Minneapolis

Right Side Broadcasting Network is once again able to broadcast live on YouTube. Here’s the link at the RSBN site:

Thursday, October 10, 2019: Join RSBN’s Bailee Hill, Max Kleiber, Kate Workman and cameraman Gage Fuller for LIVE coverage from Minneapolis, MN as President Donald Trump holds a Keep America Great Rally at the Target Center. President Trump is expected to speak at 7:00pm CDT.

That’s 5 PM California / Pacific Coast and 8 PM Eastern. I think it ought to be about midnight UK / UTC at present (IIRC it’s 7 hours in winter, 8 in summer savings time as the offset from California). They do interviews and site coverage along with minor speakers prior to the start of the big event. No small snips with bias as you get on the YSM.

For those who might not know, YouTube, with zero explanation, had cut off the ability of RSBN to broadcast live from Trump rallies. They have a notice up that as of 32 minutes ago they can… thanks to their audience whacking on YouTube ;-)

Good news! We now have streaming back on our main YouTube channel! Thanks to all of you for your support during thi…

Here’s the direct YouTube link. (I’d post some other live link but WordPress only lets me do YouTube without paying extra):

And I finally also figured out that the “RSBN 2” channel they talk about is also a youtube channel:

So something of a backup in case of some kind of “technical glitch” on their first channel…

There’s also supposed to be a Periscope feed “soon” and I’m looking for links to any others to add.

Ah, found it. Presently running a re-run of the pre-game session, so likely to start actual live after 1 PM Pacific:

After exploring the Diamond & Silk site for a good line while (it has videos too) I finally had it sink in that the RSBN feed is on the D&S YouTube channel:

My interest?

I’d watched a few of the rallies, on and off, but had generally not watched them much recently as a lot of the talking points are the same. The one thing about RSBN that made it special was the pre-show and post along with the local / minor political speakers. A lot more variation and interesting stuff. But I’d started to lose interest.

Then YouTube stuck their foot in it. I HATE this political censorship. So it is now my intent to put up a posting for each Trump rally linking to RSBN and anywhere they can broadcast. To the extent YouTube tries to reduce anyone “leveraging” their platform to get Trump positive coverage, I’m going to lever what I can to give some balance back (however small). I’ll keep this up as long as there is YouTube Bias Risk.

It may not be much that I can do, but I’m going to do it. Now if all the other Deep State Opponents did the same… Just sayin’… You can be an “Army of One” even with just sending a link to a friend… or an enemy ;-)

Ran into this interesting site “keeping up with Trump” while searching for other RSBN spigots:

A pretty good write up of the “ban of RSBN” here:

Will be interesting to see what President Trump does on his rally “fireside talk” to the citizens.

You just know he is going to burn the Dems and media after the last couple days events.

  2. E.M.Smith says:

    I hope so ;-)

Doing it in Omar’s home district adds some pepper ;-) too

FWIW, I just launch the video and let it run in the background as I work. Sometimes looking at it, but just listening when I’m doing more work-like stuff. You get the feeling of “being there”…

  3. beththeserf says:

Good on you, E.M. fighting censorship.

  4. E.M.Smith says:

Thanks, Beth, so now just click the link and set the video running in a panel on your computer and drive up the RSBN numbers ;-)

    Tech sidebar:

On the RockPro64 under Slackware, CPU use is up about 90% and all CPUs engaged to run the video. I think it isn’t using the GPU…. (The Odroid N2 under Armbian is much lighter load even though both machines are similar spec.)

The Odroid N2 has the 4 BIG cores running at min speed 666 MHz and not doing much. Only the two LITTLE CPUs are at full speed clock and they are about 80%. So I’m pretty certain it’s the GPU doing the video processing as the CPU is loafing.

SO, OK, Slackware works OK for video because the RockPro64 has 2 BIG cores and 4 quasi-little ones all cranking. I think it is nice that Slackware ports fast and easy, but I also think it needs some GPU code added…

  6. E.M.Smith says:

    Well that was interesting…

Made a quick “wine run” to the store down the street (needed sumpin’ sipin’ during the rally ;-) and came back to “crashed tab”. OK, reloaded the tab.

A few minutes later (cream cheese, Ritz crackers, salami, caviar, Cabernet all set up and in motion ;-) and decided to drag the browser to the side of the screen…. EVERYTHING hung.

Seems that when the CPU is doing all the video, even with 2 fast A72 cores, running full motion video WHILE doing the compositing for panel in motion, caused it to “lose it”. Was it swap locked or what? I don’t know. After about 2 minutes, just did a power fail / restart.

So it’s pretty clear that Slackware / Firefox combo is not using the machine resources efficiently and you can drive it nuts with too much video load. The GPU is there for a reason….

SO, OK, don’t drag a window with video running in it… Got it.

FWIW, “Wheels Down” in about 15 minutes (or maybe already) so POTUS is approaching the building ;-)

  7. Larry Ledwick says:

The broadcast folks are estimating 10 minutes until the President comes out.
    He is in the building.

  8. Larry Ledwick says:

    walking to the podium now!

  9. Larry Ledwick says:

Wow that was an impressive speech!
Unfortunately RSBN had some cut outs so there are a few parts I want to re-watch but he went off script and nailed some hides to the wall.

He also did a passionate defense of his determination to get the US out of the middle east.

  10. Larry Ledwick says:

cspan has a clean feed of the Trump Minnisota rally, I am re-watching the part where RSBN broke up during the segment on President Trump having to sign letters for the returning dead soldiers.

That segment starts at 1:44 into the video stream.

  11. E.M.Smith says:

Well, that was exciting, especially the Biden “kissing Obama’s ass” statement ;-)

I had a LOT of pauses and glitches. Did anyone else? I’m interested in finding out if this was a DDOS attack on RSBN or an artifact of PG&E causing routing to constantly shift as various POPS (Points Of Presence) went on and off line as power was applied to some areas and cut in others near me…

Still, well worth the watching. I may just replay it now that it isn’t a live feed and see if “suddenly” all the pauses are gone ;-)

Odd, my feed, breaking up every few minutes as it did, did not break up on the signing section… I suspect a “Data Diddle” going on…

  12. Larry Ledwick says:

The cspan feed also broke up during that segment but they just paused and resumed with no loss of data, where the RSBN had silent portions where you lost the audio content. The venue might have been having problems but I got to hear the missing bits I was looking for by re-watching the cspan feed.

  13. H.R. says:

E.M: “Well, that was exciting, especially the Biden “kissing Obama’s ass” statement ;-)”

Awwww, ya beat me to it. I was going to post that zinger but it looks like everybody noticed that one.

I watched on FOX as Mrs. H.R. watches Tucker Carlson and rarely misses his show. Tonight was very odd. Usually, when a Trump rally overlaps Tucker and Hannity, Fox has a split screen with the FOX hosts and the rally. Now and then, the producer will go to full screen for something President Trump is saying and Tucker or Hannity will comment, then it’s back to split screen with the hosts commenting on the rally or other topics they wanted to cover.

Tonight Tucker was on and then at the end of his show, Trump was arriving and FOX went full screen with a window for Tucker to smile and sign off. Then Hannity was in the small window greeting his viewers and a “watch this” as FOX went to full screen, rally only. Then FOX stuck with the rally and never cut back into Hannity.
FOX was outside after the rally and covering the protesters. Antifa was there and trying to incite violence. There was a serious police presence containing the protesters. I turned off the tube and I’ll just have to wait until morning to see if the protesters escalated to general violence and mayhem.

  14. Larry Ledwick says:

This is the Trump feed on twitter.

For comparison the sign letters segment starts at 1:20 in this video

  15. E.M.Smith says:

Interesting… the replay is glitch free…

  16. gallopingcamel says:

I have attended four Trump rallies. I watched the Minneapolis rally on Fox News from start to finish and wished I could afford to attend. I posted this video before but some of you may have missed it:!AvtnwPyW70LGghbXKdj-EVHyfgCI

That was 2016 and the support for Trump has grown. Not one person who voted for Trump wants to reverse his policies.

The Dems realize they have no hope of beating Donald Trump at the ballot box so their only hope is some kind of Deep State coup.

The next time Trump comes to North Carolina I will try to set up a car pool for my buddies in the VRWC (Vast Right Wing Conspiracy) that has met at the Bob Evans restaurant at the junction of I-40 and 15-501 every Friday at 0900 hours for the last 20 years.

  17. gallopingcamel says:

One of the great moments was Trump’s recognition of Michael J Lindell and his excessive “My Pillow” adverts. Really funny stuff.

  18. gallopingcamel says:

In Minneapolis he praised all the Fox News folks except Stuart Varney.

Ooops! Trump remembered Stuart Varney in Louisiana. I think I just admitted to watching that rally too!

  19. H.R. says:

@gallopingcamel who wrote in part: ” […] my buddies in the VRWC (Vast Right Wing Conspiracy) that has met at the Bob Evans restaurant at the junction of I-40 and 15-501 every Friday at 0900 hours for the last 20 years.”

I hope to make it to one of those VRWC meetings someday. Maybe 2020 will be the year. Mrs. H.R. and I have discussed contingency plans for getting home from Florida in March, should the snows impede our usual 3-day, 2-night return.

If our direct route is snowy, we decided to head up through the Carolinas and then over to the Eastern Mid-west to avoid the snowy mountain roads, staying a few days here and there and then traveling when there is a break in the weather. Depending on the calendar and weather, I just might be in the vicinity on a Friday. I suppose it will all work out someday, but if we get colder, snowier Winters, it enhances the odds of us being in N.C. on a Friday.

  20. E.M.Smith says:

Thanks for the reminder video… nice to see the Trump plane again ;-)

Yeah, I liked the My Pillow bit too ;-)

North Carolina, eh? March, eh? Maybe I can find a way to be there then…

  21. Power Grab says:

Speaking of Antifa at the Minneapolis rally, over on Twitter someone (or several someones) posted video showing what really appeared to be Ilhan and her lover, with masks partially peeled off. They were in the Antifa crowd, of course, not the pro-Trump crowd.

  22. Larry Ledwick says:

  23. E.M.Smith says:

Well isn’t that sweet…. Confirmation of Antifa as the violence wing of the Democrat / Socialist party all on the same corrupt Soros payroll system… Isn’t that “collusion” and “election interference” and “foreign money” (last I looked his Open Society (insert feeding tube…) organizations were in Europe).?

That whole corrupt system needs to be followed to the very tap root and ripped out “root and branch”.
