So Is Comedy Really A Truth That Hurts? Dems, Russia, Jimmy Dore

Here it is, Saturday, and I’m looking for some comedy relief from the political stuff… and up pops Jimmy Dore. He’s a significantly anti-capitalist left leaner who’s a comedy guy… but also doesn’t like corruption.

He’s got a show from a day ago where he’s ripping the Dems for their intense Bought By Russia status and their lying like a lead rug about it… Has a couple of great clips where Assange some years ago outed the Hillary Graft and where Maria Barteromo rips Podesta a new one as he tries to lie his way past the facts in his own emails.

I’m laughing while I’m cringing… BTW, has a few F-Bombs in it. Jimmy isn’t being shy about his feelings on this one. Seems the “center right” where I am and the significantly left where he is can fully agree on corrupt politicians being very bad news.

He also does a nice job laying out some of the connections. Like Mannifort having a strong Clinton connection – so was he a bit of dirt being sent to Spy On Trump too? Hmmmm? Kind of makes that Mannifort conviction more a Hillary Thing than a Trump thing…

Man it’s fun when everyone gets P.O’d about the corruption in DC ;-)

The best way to engage minds is through humor.
It releases all the thoughts, that you thought were uncommonly your own.
Or f’n something like that :)
That said, I need to go pick up the sticks left in the yard after another wind storm.

    Maybe this will work?

Maybe it is time the expression of “Tell that to the Marines” was updated to “Tell that to CNN”

    @Another Ian:

Just OMG that CNN potential ;-)

Then that Hunter Biden bit is really going to burn Serioso (see my overly long reply on the other thread… This is directly applicable to his position:

He who must not be named: How Hunter Biden became a conversation-stopper
BY JONATHAN TURLEY, OPINION CONTRIBUTOR — 10/12/19 […]
Hunter Biden: The mere mention of his name seemingly triggers the vapors among cable TV hosts and their guests.

When President Trump turned to the Bidens and Ukraine in a speech, MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace cut off the coverage, declaring she had to protect the listeners: “We hate to do this, really, but the president isn’t telling the truth.” When Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.) tried to answer a question about the Ukraine scandal by referencing the Bidens, “Meet the Press” host Chuck Todd angrily told him not to “gaslight” the nation.

The Bidens, simply, are not what well-bred people discuss in polite company, apparently. Indeed, many journalists seem to be channeling not Edward R. Murrow, the fabled CBS newscaster, but Florence Hartley, the author of “The Ladies’ Book of Etiquette, and Manual of Politeness” in 1872. Hartley warned her readers to “avoid, at all times, mentioning subjects or incidents that can in any way disgust your hearers.”

For news shows on MSNBC, CNN and other cable networks, nothing is more disgusting than the mention of what Hunter Biden actually was doing in Ukraine.

Petulant little propagandists P.O’d at the truth sneaking through ;-)

When they start resorting to censorship you know you are over the target and they are losing.

Remember the old school yard “It takes one to know one” taunt? The Left “always” does what it accuses the “right” of doing. You can make bank on it.

“The Left “always does” what it accuses the “right” of doing. ”

    Isn’t that “is already doing”?

  9. Steven Fraser says:

@EM: Had some fun thinking about times a comedian has made me laugh. One of the most sustained was on a cruise in the Caribbean, when the(male) cruise director came onstage in a tutu and stockings, and spoke mock seriously about audience decorum. At some point, he turned around, to face someone upstage, revealing his ‘bottom prosthesis’… mooning the audience.

    We roared.
