A Bit Of Bongino On The Side

At https://bongino.com/passed-dems-push-impeachment-rules-through-house-232-196/

We find out that the Dims pushed their Rules For Impeachment through the House. They, of course, are calling it not-an-impeachment vote, but an “impeachment inquiry” vote. THE goal is to impeach Trump, therefore it IS an impeachment vote. Period. Full stop. It’s just wrapping it up in a show trial worthy of Stalin.

Any rep who voted yes on that needs to be primaried and / or voted out. Period. They are un-American traitors to the voters.

After roughly an hour of debating on the House floor, a vote was taken on a resolution filled with ground rules for the impeachment inquiry against President Donald Trump. The final vote was 232-196 with zero Republicans voting for the resolution and only two Democratic defectors. Freshman Representative Jeff Van Drew (D-NJ) and 15-term veteran Representative Collin Peterson (D-MN) both represent GOP-leaning districts and joined the Republicans in voting against the measure.

During the debate, representatives on both sides of the aisle gave their talking points. Pelosi gave quite the performance saying “what is at stake in all this is nothing less than our democracy” while standing next to a large poster of the American Flag.

Curiously appropriate… not even a REAL flag, just a faux poster one…

Representative Steve Scalise (R-LA) accused Democrats of imposing “Soviet-style rules” next to a poster depicting the Kremlin. House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) gave a moving speech defending the president saying Trump has done nothing wrong, nothing impeachable and blamed Democrats for their obsession with the impeachment proceedings “because they are scared they cannot defeat him at the ballot box.”

It may take weeks or more before the House even decides whether to vote on actually impeaching Trump. For now, Dems have in place procedures “which give them the ability to curb the president’s lawyers from calling witnesses” which they say are similar rules to the Nixon and Clinton impeachments. Republicans, however, argue the resolution allows for rules skewed against Trump.

I wonder just how much dirt Soros and the Deep State have on Pelosi, Shiff, and Nadler to get them to do such a stupid thing. They must realize that the bulk of the country that voted for Trump are just getting ever more pissed about this crap. I was at best a tepid voter for Trump. “Nothing left to lose and maybe he’ll break up the place” schadenfreude vote. I’ve come to realize he’s actually doing a very good job. Moved me to “Yeah, I’m liking what he’s doing supporter”. Now, with him taking 3 years of a Garbage Onslaught and still standing, and now THIS? I’m being shoved into “Hard Core Trump MAGA Guy” land. You just MUST admire someone who can still be standing in the hurricane and laughing at it…

Then, in the show from today, Bongino talks about “Vindman” testimony. The latest “spin” is to attempt to read into the transcript what isn’t there. To write whole new bits into the … even though the Whistleblower himself said it was a ‘word for word’ transcript. Here’s the AP article on it, full of imaginings and spin.

Vindman testimony fills gaps on Trump Ukraine call
By LISA MASCARO, MARY CLARE JALONICK and ALAN FRAM

WASHINGTON (AP) — The ellipses have long baffled lawmakers: What did President Donald Trump say on his call with Ukrainian President Volodymr Zelenskiy that the White House may have omitted on the rough transcript released to the public?

Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman began to fill in those gaps.

In testimony for the House impeachment inquiry , Vindman, who worked at the White House National Security Council and monitored the July 25 phone call, told investigators he heard a discussion of Biden and Burisma — a reference to the gas company where Joe Biden’s son served on the board — and that some of the ellipses omitted Trump saying there are recordings of Joe Biden discussing corruption in Ukraine, according to people familiar with Tuesday’s closed-door testimony.

Would those “Biden discussing corruption” be his bragging about getting the prosecutor fired to save his son Hunter Biden? Just wondering.

Now, the juicy bit, at somewhere in the 20’s of minutes range, Bongino quotes an article that says Trump was encouraged to call Ukraine BY THE NSC. The NSC where Vindman was a member.

So let me get this straight: Trump had been told to call Ukraine by the same folks who then did the set-up to claim malfeasance and who now are doing closed door testimony where nobody can ask them embarrassing questions?

That sure smells like one big fat entrapment rat to me.

Bongino also has a bit of a blow-up over the idea we can’t question Vindmans veracity ’cause he’s a military guy with a medal. Um, what about General Flynn? Tulsi? There’s an interesting short clip of him and Geraldo shouting past each other as Geraldo says “give him a pass” and Bongino, rightly, says nobody gets a pass.

At the 30 minute mark the show moves to the California fires. Bongino rips Global Warming and (rightly) points out the PUC was ordering PG&E to install 7500 eCar charging stations while not supplying the money to trim trees and remove flammables.

California has ALWAYS had fires. It isn’t any different now than 50 years ago. I’ve been on a fire line. What is different now is we don’t remove the fuel load like we used to and all the safe land is built over so they are now planting houses in arroyos and canyons that have always been known as high fire risk burn spots.

It’s a pretty good rant ;-)

Then the next episode where we get a discussion of who in the White House was doing the spying for the TLAs / Deep State and now is part of the take down crew…

This one goes through more of the details of the who / when and documents on display. An illumination of the spying BY the TLAs on the Trump Whitehouse.

It sure is looking a whole lot like a typical Set Up for a Color Revolution… Entrapment all the way, but the bait wasn’t taken, so now they have to make up crap and commit perjury to endorse it. That’s what it looks like to me, in my opinion.

And isn’t it a crime to spy on the White House? Just sayin’…

31 democrats in Republican districts. 2 voted against it. 29 (Spanberger being one of the 29) voted for it.

As you said, they can call it flower, but it is still a skunk. Pelosi has decided she does not need 30 seats.

For the last month or so, I’ve noticed Drudge puts up headlines adverse to Trump with very few that put Trump in a positive light. I’m wondering if someone got something on him.

There has been some chatter on twitter about Drudge changing focus.

@EM: Vindman ‘filling in the gaps’ represented in the transcript by elipses (…) is still hearsay. ‘so-and-so said such-and-such to someone.’

It will be inadmissible if the impeachment happens, and the Senate sits to try the case.

I’ve been eligible to vote for 20 maybe 24 years something like that, and I’ve never voted it was always two sides of the same coin kind of thing. However I think I will vote in 2020 and will vote for Trump I don’t really like him as a person necessarily but I think he’s been doing a good job the Democrats have just been going fucking apeshit they’re driving me to actually vote

  8. p.g.sharrow says:

It appears to me that Vindman was a C.I.A. plant on the NSC in the Whitehouse to set up Trump to make this Ukraine phone call and he was involved in writing the call script’s talking points. After he left to report on the call’s content. Trump and Company rewrote the talking points to make sure that the actual call was perfectly clean before the call was made. Brennen and Schiff got their report of the planted report before the call was actually made and Trump put Egg on their faces with the real call transcript.
I am now sure that the Trump team is aware that the EVIL Dark State is home in the Start Department and the CIA. That the CIA and Brennen corrupted the head offices of the FBI with the help of the Obamanation. For some of us the level of corruption in the State Department and the CIA has been known for over 50 years..pg..

    @P.G.:

That pretty much matches up where where my thinking ran, though with a bit more detail… so clearly I need a bit more ponder time to catch up with you ;-)

But yeah, C.I.A. mole for the Set Up, pulled into Whistleblower role when the transcript upset their planned smear, and now in hiding…

“Meanwhile, once the House impeaches Trump – which it most certainly will – the tables will turn in the Senate, which will hold a mandatory trial. Not only will the GOP-Senators controlling the proceedings be able to subpoena documents and other evidence, they’ll be able to compel Ciaramella, the Bidens, Chalupa and any other witnesses they desire as we head into the 2020 US election.

Nancy Pelosi saw this coming and caved to her party anyway. There isn’t enough popcorn in the world for what’s coming.”

Re that saying of yours re “Why? Don’t ask why. etc”

Seems to me that Trump is having a very enjoyable time doing just that.

  13. E.M.Smith says:

    @Another Ian:

That Jeffrey Tucker article kinds of sums up my reaction to the whole faux impeachment thing.

Internally I’m not calling the government apparatchiks “technocrats” but rather retchnocrats…

Watching Pelosi, Shiff & Nadler try to pull this off is just so… so… like watching someone who thinks they can sing, but can’t quite get the notes right, at the local small town talent show…

The audience is being polite and not booing them off the stage, be everyone is looking at those around them with That Look of “is this for real? Does she not know how stupid she looks?” and deciding not to mention it after the show…

It is like waiting for your 2 year old to end their tantrum. You know it means nothing. You know nothing is going to change. You also know you can’t do anything but wait for them to finish the screaming and crying fest. THEN you can move on to something that matters.

I’m sure it will “energize their base” though…

On the radio today on a call in show, a Trump Detractor was asked for specifics of what Trump had done or lied about. One example was a “lie” that wasn’t a lie and the other was “Trump gave himself a contract for $Millions!!!!” about the G7 venue. They guy could not accept that Trump was NOT to get any profit from that. Completely oblivious to the “free if I can or at cost” point.

So blinded by partisan stupidity he simply could not understand that Trump didn’t pick the property, a committee did nor that the costs to the taxpayer were to be far lower than any alternative. To him, this was An Outrage!!! and deserving of impeachment.

That kind of mindless idiot is the audience for Ms. Pelosi, Shiff of the unknown pronoun, and Troll Nadler. Everyone else sees it as the faux show that it is and is just waiting for the tantrum to wind down.

Then there was the statement by the radio host that “there are 62 Million voters who are really really angry and armed to the teeth”… he was ranting about how the Pelosi Show could lead to a new civil war and did she not see that.. Well, some of that was clearly “click bait” hype; but the reality is what it is, and there are a whole lot of Trump Voters really POed at the Dims… So Trump is not going to resign, the Senate is not going to convict, and the House has no real “high crimes and misdemeanors” to work with. Which leaves: What’s the point of it all? Show Trial? Stupid?

One good thing about it all: It IS illuminating just how dirty the Deep State is, how corrupt the TLAs are, and how immoral the political class has become. If not for this stupidity of the Dims, I’d have not known the C.I.A. had a mole in the White House and was working to take down POTUS. Now I do know that… so “Thanks C.I.A. & Pelosi!” for making that known…

I do find myself wondering now: Would the world not be a better place if POTUS just disbanded the C.I.A.? Really, what do they do that’s worth it? Torture some prisoners outside the country? Run drugs and guns around the planet? Destroy the governments of irrelevant countries that would collapse on their own anyway? I can’t for the life of me think of one thing they have done in the last 30 years that matters. Maybe it’s all classified and hidden?

Wasn’t it Bill Clinton who on taking office fired all the prosecutors in the Justice Department and loaded it with his own guys? Can’t Trump just “do a Clinton” and do the same thing? Fix the rot in Justice in one move.

Then with Justice fixed, the C.I.A. tanked, he could move on to cleaning up the F.B.I. Reach down the ranks and promote the good guys to the top. I think that level of “fix” is what is needed. Now that we’ve seen the rot via this “impeachment” take down effort.
