A California Modest Suggestion

California is busy becoming a People’s Socialist Globalist Paradise. This makes them a gateway for all sorts of crap into the rest of the nation.

The whole place is full of illegal migrants, who then can just get on the road and go anywhere in the nation. Often moving drugs or crime as many are gang members.

It is essentually impossible to fix California, as it is pwnd by the Democrats, structurally.

So wall off the infection.

There’s only about 20 roads into the State, even using tertiary small back roads. ICE has a “border control” staion each side of El Paso Texas many miles away (one is in New Mexico, west bound, another off near Van Horn west Texas in the desert east bound). California has Agriculture inspection stations on entry. You already bring the whole of, for example, Interstate 10, The major southern freeway, to a complete halt twice.

So here’s an idea: just put immigration stations at all the Californua roads. Only on the outbound from Californus side. Let anyone leave the Lower 47 for California Social Paradise, but check for legal residence on exit from California. Similarly, at the airports, anyone can fly in to California, but show your citizenship / residency to get out to the rest of thd USA.

In no time, lots and lots of illegals will relocate to The Golden State for the goodies, weather, MJ all over, drivers licenses, etc. Then they can also get free passage back and forth to Mexico, too.

No wall is needed for this as the State has physical barriers of mountains, deserts, and ocean. There are very limited valleys and passes with roads, and most traffic is already stopped for “inspection”.

Once the State suffers complete collapse, then it can be recovered, if desired…

Noooo! Thanks to corona, we will not be able to sell our house next spring. Trapped in Crazyfornia for life.

At least we’ll have plenty of Corona to drown our sorrows.

Retire early and get the heck out now? It might be cheaper in the long run.

@ Gail, Have to convince hubby – he has his plans and doesn’t tolerate change well. 40+ years of working for the same company, living in the same town. I read the posting and your comment to him, and he said you may have a point, so thanks!

Today I saw loads of Open House signs on my way to buy more vegi bins- more than normal for our area. Looks like others get to flee.

    Quail,

Remember that you can downsize your home drastically. We sold in the Boston area and bought 100+ ac out right in NC and then put the mortgage on the house we bought.

Other places like SC can even be cheaper although the medical here is very good. (UNC and Duke)

We bought when we were in our 40s so needed to be within good commuting distance but some counties, a little further out are really cheap. I would recommend checking out various places and the cost of living and then present your case with facts. (That is what I did to my Hubby.)

@E.M. – Git yer @$$ in gear an’ git the H-E-double toothpicks outa there!

Get busy on cleaning out that garage, for starters. It’s the only thing holding you back ;o)

P.S. Did I mention there’s no State income tax in Florida? Well, you knew that anyhow.

I’m working on it, but a pandemic is gonna complicate things…

At least you adopted the boy scout motto, ‘Be Prepared.’ E.M. Thank goodness for that!

I seem to remember MadebyJimbob had something on this topic:

Just got back form California. I love it out there (Imperial Valley), but I will never relocate there due to the politics of the state (and the taxes).

So using a passport to get out of California is not a problem for me. I will visit, but will not stay.
