Salesforce Gets Woke – Banning Conservatives

This pains me as I have family that works at Salesforce. I’m now a bit worried for their income as Salesforce is joining the “Get Woke, Go Broke” Clan. (Or is that Klan?)

But Salesforce has held a meeting where the executives have decided that only offering services to Left Wing POV Companies & Organizations is somehow a good idea.

Companies need to be NEUTRAL, not POLITICAL, or they cut their market opportunities in half. No Conservative can now consider it “safe” to use or depend on Salesforce products. They ALL ought to be looking for alternatives.

Were I the Director of I.T. at a company, looking to review Customer Management software, I’d be asking my sales rep point blank: “How can I possibly trust your company or your product when one tweet or one public statement by one of our employees that somehow steps into the Left Wing Censorship Zone can cause your product to be withdrawn?” Knowing full well they can either be truthful and say “You can’t”, or lie to my face.

Project Veritas: Salesforce Plans to Blacklist Clients for Political Speech, Citing Capitol Riot

Investigative journalism group Project Veritas recently published a report detailing plans by the cloud-based software giant Salesforce to de-platform customers who have “the potential to incite politically motivated violence.” According to the Project Veritas video, executives are communicating with the RNC specifically about messages from former President Donald Trump. Project Veritas reports that its own business account with Salesforce has been cut off.

Leaked Insider Tape Reveals Salesforce’s Plan to Deplatform ‘Broader Range’ of Customers Who Have ‘The Potential to Incite Politically Motivated Violence’ … Salesforce Inexplicably Severs Ties with Project Veritas

Potential? What speech does NOT have the “potential” to cause some nutcase to go nuts?

Bret Taylor, Salesforce President and COO: “Since the events of the 6th [of January], I think one of the things that really impacts Salesforce is the national conversation about the role of technology in inciting that mob, disseminating misinformation and fomenting extremism.”

OK, so they have bought into the Lies & Spin about the False Flag event of 6 Jan. The insanity has gone to their heads.

Taylor: “What we’ve done in light of the events of Jan. 6 is recognize a much broader range of messages have the potential to incite politically motivated violence.”

Taylor: “We’ve engaged with the RNC to communicate that no messages on behalf of President Trump and no messages questioning the validity or integrity of the election are allowed on our platform under the guidelines that they may incite violence.”

Taylor: “We’re looking across our customer base to make sure our technology is not being used by businesses or platforms that are inciting political violence.”

Eric Loeb, Salesforce Executive VP of Government Affairs: “We are pausing all PAC contributions…the pause or suspension certainly includes the suspension of any contributions to members of Congress that voted to object to the [presidential election] certification.”

Salesforce emailed Project Veritas to announce they made a “business decision” to end the existing working relationship. No explanation or reasoning was provided.

[SAN FRANCISCO – Feb. 24, 2021] Project Veritas released a new video today leaked by a Salesforce insider exposing the company’s executives adhering to “Cancel Culture” mentality following the events at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6. The Salesforce executives were recorded on Jan. 13.

So Salesforce is banning Trump from RNC Conversations? Isn’t that “Contributions in kind” to the DNC? Isn’t that Violation Of Civil Rights of Trump?

Ought not EVERY company with ANY Conservative voices abandon Salesforce at their earliest opportunity?

Will this create a giant opportunity for a Politcaly Neutral or Conservative company to offer Salesforce competitive products? You Betcha!

I like to believe the free speech dragons are being awakened. To devour all censors.

But at this point – we really don’t know.

    ZeroNet efficiently supports free speech.

Have my invite for Musk’s Starlink, but already have a good internet spigot AND emergency satellite communications. So I’m reluctant for yet another $100 recurring expense.

Bit by bit these woke people are eroding my determination NOT to spend this money. As I see it, Starlink would be the ideal environment for I2P, Tor relays, Loki, and ZeroNet hosts. An expensive middle finger for sure…but somebody’s gotta do it :)

    These f…ers know no bounds.

I would boycott Salesforce if I knew what their business is

  4. Pinroot says:

As usual, two sets of standards. If you’re on the left, you can refuse to do business with someone simply because they have the potential of doing something you don’t like. However, if you’re a Christian baker, you’d better bake the cake for the gay wedding or get sued out of business. I wonder if a Muslim or Jewish caterer were asked to cater a pig-picking for me, could they say “no” and could I sue them if they did? Or is it just Christians that have to go against their religious beliefs?

FWIW, I already don’t use a lot of products from these ‘woke’ companies, so in my own way, I’m already boycotting them. There are a few that I still use (Amazon is the main one, unfortunately) but if there are options for products from non-woke businesses, I’ll go with non-woke, as well as small and local vs some large globohomo corporation. I don’t mind paying a little more and keeping the money in my local community when I can.

Speaking in broad and slightly abstract terms here: There are two basic ways for people to interact. There are economic interactions where the involved parties mutually agree that “You do this for me and I’ll do that for you.” Then there are political interactions where one party says “You MUST do this for me or I will do something unwanted to you.”

Even in representative governments, the political interactions are the same, except that groups may change who is controlling the “you must do” with vote counting to determine which side is more powerful. (In the recent election the vote counting was set aside because one party had a stronger will to power and the other party decided that the fight was not worth it.) Traditionally, here in the US, most of our interactions were economic driven, and the political “you must” was only invoked for more existential matters. That has changed, those days are ending because now, EVERYTHING is being politicized, and because it is being politicized, every question will be settled not by negotiation but by imposition of reprisals. One of the very first coins issued in the US had imprinted on it the motto “Mind your business”. That has been replaced in public perception by the saying “There ought to be a law!” There was a sad old joke in the USSR that “Anything not mandatory is forbidden.” Starting to sound very familiar… The most fundamental freedom is the right to be left alone as long as you are not actively (and I stress “actively”) harming others. The leftist SJWs just WON’T leave you alone.

@Pinroot. “Or is it just Christians that have to go against their religious beliefs?”

In theory, or in practice? In theory, YOU have just as much political influence with your single vote that Bill Gates has with HIS single vote. In theory, any religious group is the same as the others, but in practice, how many Muslims have been brought to court on similar charges?

    An Australian replication

“Go woke. Go broke. Post Alan Jones – 2GB, 3AW, 4BC profit down. Down 62%. That number again, 62%.”

The company that I work for was big time into AWS. But now they are slowly hedging bets with Azure. If a company is going to deplatform you for no reason, then why put your eggs into that basket. AWS has not deplatformed all conservative companies. But what if our main competitor bends an ear at AWS and they pull our plug?

What AWS (and Salesforce) did was not only stupid. It is also illegal. Companies have a legal fiduciary obligation to the stock holders. IN simple terms, they are embezzling the stockholders equity.
