I guess what with Chinese Wuhan Covid on the way out, the Globalists needed a new Death Machine in the USA. In any case, under Biden, we now have Ebola Travelers in the USA. Didn’t hear about that on the nightly news…
Ohio health officials monitoring 44 residents for exposure to Ebola in Africa
The Columbus Dispatch
Health officials are monitoring 44 Ohioans who may have had exposure to Ebola after returning from areas of Africa with active outbreaks.
In a five-page statement explaining Tuesday why he vetoed Senate Bill 22, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine said it is believed that all of those individuals are at a “very low risk” of having contracted the deadly virus.
The World Health Organization has confirmed the first confirmed cases of Ebola since the outbreak in West Africa between 2014 and 2016 that killed more than 11,000 people. On Feb. 14, WHO declared an Ebola outbreak in Guinea after three fatal Ebola cases were confirmed in the the rural community of Gouéké in N’Zerekore prefecture.
In a Feb. 26 statement, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said it is closely following the outbreak in not only Guinea, but also the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The CDC said the outbreaks were centered in remote area of those countries, with the risk of Ebola spreading to the United States being “extremely low.”
In accordance with public health measures, travelers returning to the U.S. from those two countries are being sent to one of six airports, where they are being asked to share information that will be passed onto to state and local health departments that will monitor them for symptoms.
The White House announced on Feb. 16 that officials are working with leaders in Guinea, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Sierra Leone and Liberia to limit the spread to neighboring countries.
But flying folks over here is just fine…
So I can’t go to a theme park or swim at the beach, but we can fly in folks from an ebola outbreak country and “monitor them”…
11 Kentuckians have traveled to areas with Ebola outbreaks, but risk is low, Beshear says
Louisville Courier Journal
Kentucky health officials are aware of 11 people from the state who have traveled to Guinea and the Democratic Republic of Congo, two African countries experiencing Ebola outbreaks, Gov. Andy Beshear announced Tuesday.
“We don’t believe there is any significant risk at the moment, but we are and we want to be transparent about it,” Beshear said during his virtual COVID-19 update Tuesday.
Guinea, which was on the front lines of the 2014 Ebola epidemic, confirmed three people there had died from the virus in mid-February. They were the first new cases since 2016.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced on its website last month travel restrictions to passengers from the countries but said the risk of Ebola to the United States is “extremely low.”
Just like when they said it was fine to have plane loads of folks from China keep landing in the USA after the Chinese Wuhan Covid outbreak was well identified…
Gee, I wonder why… but don’t worry, if it does break out in the USA, it will only kill a bunch of people and become endemic in the dogs and rodents… Nothing to worry about. We can vaccinate everyone at the cost of $BILLIONS to friends in the Big Pharma Lobby…
But don’t worry, the CDC is on it with airport monitoring… ’cause, you know, it doesn’t spread to other folks in the plane or staff and them giving it to ground crew or anything… /sarc;
U.S. to implement Ebola monitoring program at airports as new cases reported in Africa
BY BO ERICKSON, COREY RANGEL AND ED O’KEEFE
UPDATED ON: FEBRUARY 26, 2021 / 9:17 PM / CBS NEWS
The U.S. will soon be monitoring travelers coming into the country from two nations impacted by the Ebola virus, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced Friday. The CDC confirmed these plans after CBS News first reported the details on Friday night.
Starting next week, the “very small number” of travelers arriving from Guinea and the Democratic Republic of the Congo will be funneled to six U.S. airports where their information will be collected and shared with local health officials, the CDC said.
Because “monitoring” while you are here is so much more effective than just saying “keep out”… look how well it worked with all those Covid travelers last year! /snark;
