I ran into these folks in a youtube video. Looks like a Canadian skeptical group doing a look at the pseudo science and propaganda around Climate Change.

    I read John Robson’s columns in the National Post but I did not know that he had a blog on climate. Anyway, the video takes a good look at where the “97% of scientists” meme came from.

    This is a good one. Rips a new one, but in that oh so Canadian Polite way. Looks at predictions from 2001 and finds a fail.

    Joseph E Postma (astrophysicist) has an interesting discussion on the peer review process of his paper on the basics of how the sun/climate process works. His paper was rejected.

    Joseph, you have shown that AMS is beyond logic and science.
    The paradigm that AMS subscribes to, namely that atmospheric recycling heat energy to provide the climate, is just illogical madness!
    The 3 steps to madness —
    1. The idea of reducing the solar input to a theoretical average spread evenly over a flat surface (representing the TOTAL Earth’s surface area).
    2. Heat (as radiant energy) can go from a cooler body to a warm one.
    3. Observational evidence is of no consequence as the math fits.

    This is a sad moment but it shows how much the AMS is in the thrall of the current madness and hysteria.

    Academia is truly lost on how basic physics applies to this planet’s climate process.
