E.M., I picked on Soros because he is much in the news and like George Bernard Shaw is not shy about sticking his foot in his mouth due to his arrogance. The Ford Foundation and the Rockefellers and Rothschilds among others are also globalists and are quite willing to give things a good hard shove. @CD – I think Gail is familiar with Alinsky’s rules. Indeed I think the whole nation is. But just having read another of her comments (borrowed from another), I had to smile. Knowing your enemy is one thing. But you have to USE that information. Trump did – and won. The left has not quite grasped that fact yet. Before Trump, republicans were afraid to use the information.
Serioso’s problem is he is a slow learner – like most of the left. His tactics are no longer effective because we know he is going to use them, and we have the counter attack.

Chief, if you will allow me one more comment after I promised to cease: My problem with Gail is that she defends her position like a lawyer, completely one-sided, leaving out exculpatory evidence. I can hardly be expected to be defense council against all her arguments. But when she attacks George Soros, leaving out his age (at the time), the fact of his religion, the fact of his persecution, the fact that he was subject to deportation and execution at any moment, and so on, she becomes, for me, an easy target, an object of derision, a lawyer. A dishonest lawyer, if you will. I’m not about to rebut every foolish argument Gail makes. But, every so often, she’s such an easy target that I am motivated to respond — tersely!
Serioso, you’re rebuttal is weak, very weak. So, Gail left out the information about Soros that you provided. Maybe she did that intentionally, maybe not. You’re saying that unless she presents a balanced POV for whatever subject she undertakes, she’s not credible. That’s not how knowledge progresses. It progresses by people providing different information on the same topic, allowing those who want to be informed to decide which bits “make sense” to them. You refuse to debate. You are the loser because YOU refuse to provide useful information beyond the first bits (religion, age and their relevance to Soro’s history).
Let me ask you: What is your general opinion of Soros? Do you have information that informs your opinion? If you have little besides what you provided, then I’m forced to side with Gail’s assessment because she’s provided a lot of (what I consider) damning information about Soros. You can debunk Gail’s information or provide additional, countervailing information. Refusing to do either tells me you really know little about Soros and your information about his Nazi background, while relevant to that point, doesn’t do much to rehabilitate Gail’s overall portrayal of the man.
Which is it, Serioso? Do you have significant opposing facts about Soros and simply do not like to debate? Or, do you really have little meaningful information with which to debate? An honest answer would be appreciated.

Serioso, your position is that she cannot advocate for a position she must cover all bases? If you feel differently it is your job to inform us why your case has more weight than hers. She is not an impartial journalist, she is showing you why she believes what she believes.
In this case, I also side with Gail. Your case would carry some weight if he showed / expressed some concern for those who unlike him did not dodge the ovens. He has never once showed any remorse for his actions or even more damaging any sympathy or empathy for those not so lucky.
That is the signature behavior of a sociopath. He treated them as things – objects – random events. By his own words he was just playing a part that if he did not someone else would ( that is a rationalization). His actions since (destroying economies, with no regard of the consequences on others) is also the signature of a sociopath personality who is incapable of seeing others as humans just like him. Seems to enjoy the “Troll and whip up” phase the most. “Toss insult and disappear” second. Doesn’t like the work of defending points or countering opposing points, but insists others MUST do so (and read, in full, any NYT articles he cites…) before indulging in point-counter-point, but then usually just tosses another insult “to the person” and huffs away again. (Most likely why my insistence to address positions and not persons and avoid “insult to the person” is so hard for Serioso to do..)
Occasionally you get a “Positioning talking point”, but not often enough and never enough depth to see why it matters. Do not expect a cogent point-by-point assessment of an opposing position. Do expect Talking Point List and Attack To The Person.

@Serioso – sorry, Gail is debating the facts. You are interjecting non sequiturs. Soros’ religion has nothing to do with his actions. Lenin was born a Jew. Did that make him a Jew when he decided to tyrannize a nation? Hardly. It is an irrelevant trivia answer.
You cannot respond to Gail’s points because there is no defense of the points! It has nothing to do with any altruistic motive on your part. It has to do with the fact she just cooked your goose and you have no response.

We’re headed for no nukes, there is no real power distribution network from the windy, non-industrial (liberal-infested) North, to the (conservative) industrial, innovative, productive South, home of Mercedes, Porsche, Audi, and BMW.
And any such power link is a decade away at the earliest. Ironically, the Greens, who are pushing wind power, are against the power distribution. Seems to me they want to de-industrialize and destroy Germany and Europe. The Globalist oligarchs, Georgi-Boy amongst them, are pleased, even though they have to “tune their message” (as murmured at Davos).
The invading hordes, for that is indeed what they are, have few to no marketable skills; the many natives unemployed here in Germany eventually slide down the jobs ladder only to end up competing with them for what few manual labor/unskilled jobs exist. Yet the liberals are welcoming them in with open arms, perhaps waiting to “submit” to “the religion of peace”.
Perfect time for Soros and his cronies to short the Euros and walk away “winners” yet again.

Since the US and USSR National Academies of Sciences both had scientists who must have known the falseness of this charade, but neither spoke out, I will be skeptical of Trump until he publicly asks the US NAS for an explanation of their role in deceiving the public.
I doubt there is any secret Trump – Putin alliance. At best you might get ‘coopetition’ at arms length. Both these guys know they run major power structures and can’t risk being duped or misled by the other.

Could members of the US and USSR National Academies of Sciences be too stupid to see the logical error in Dr. Carl von Weizsacker’s 1935 calculation of “nuclear binding energy” from a sloping base line?
That is difficult to believe, despite the obvious reluctance of members of the US & USSR NAS to publicly endorse or deny published evidence that neutron repulsion powers the Sun and the cosmos. Why?

Kuroda was a 19-year old student when he recognized Weizsacker’s error on 13 JUN 1936 and a 28-year old faculty member when sent to examine the remains of Hiroshima’s destruction on 6 AUG 1945.

In any field connected to highly effective weapons, and especially anything nuclear, do not expect the truth about any technology to be public. What will be published is the story most likely to cause your adversaries to spend too much time and money chasing phantoms.
Once that is internalized, much of the mystery of broken science is much more clear…
One example: About 1970? a Popular Science issue had a “Gee Neat!” article about a dentist who invented a new way to make airplanes and we would all have them soon. I remember it clearly as I was very interested in aviation then, and asked my Dentist about it. Plastic reinforced resin and such. Only problem was it didn’t show up on radar well at all… Then never heard of it again. About 2000? when looking into the history of stealth aircraft, saw a reference to the work starting from a private airplane built by… a Dentist… So at least 30 years they kept it secret. Publicly saying things like you needed strong metals to make military airplanes…
Another example: I read a jet engine engineering text at U.C. in the ’70s that had a layout for a probable path to design a hypersonic engine. The theory was sound. The materials science sound. In the 80s we designed and flew a hypersonic airframe (the shuttle). Yet there are no hypersonic airplanes flying today… Too hard. Too hot. Can’t do it. Yet a geologist in So. Cal. was giving a talk about his geo sensors picking up rumbles that were confounding his earthquake studies. They seemed to move from sensor to sensor at hypersonic rates. A line drawn through them would seem to originate in Nevada and track out over the ocean, then a few hours later go the other way. He was visited by some nice men with suits and then started saying that was just all wrong, nothing to see here, my bad…
So my take on it is that we have had hypersonic aircraft since about 1980 and fly them regularly. BUT you will not see that stated in public. There you will see official pronouncements that the latest $40 Billion attempt blew up on the test flight or that the needed materials just don’t exist or…
Aerospike engines are not that hard to make, and we already know we have the airframe skill for it.
So I’d let go of the fixation on “why are they so wrong?”.
I’d guess it is more like “Who has told them to lie?”.

There was much discussion of a successor aircraft to the SR-71 commonly called Aurora about the time the SR-71 was retired in 1990’s. Public discussion of hypersonic glide weapons and Lockeed talking about an “on paper” design called the SR-72 suggest they are working on mainstreaming something that they have in limited production / use.
