A Surprising POV From Inside The Left

So I do stuff to confuse the YouTube “silo” process. I listen to music in different languages. I pick topics outside my usual. I click on stuff as “opposition research” (and it NEVER figures out that folks might look at the other side…)

So sometimes I get a big surprise. This video is one of them. Please don’t let the opening “Brah!” put you off. This is a young black man talking to his peers. What caught my attention is that he’s seeing the Same Clinton Rot inside the Democratic party as us Centrists and Republicans have seen. He sees the same rigged primaries and the same “smear for effect”.

He also, in the last half, has some intriguing predictions on how the political process has played out and will play out. I’m not sure I agree entirely. He’s a Tulsi Gabbard supporter, so is rooting for her. I’m less convinced she will not be crushed by a hostile media or meet with an Arkancide Accident…

Still, it is interesting to me that he pegged ME as a centrist Trump Supporter who would be attracted to Tulsi and her spunk at taking on the corrupt bits of the DNC. Then, he clearly has a better emotional / intuitive grasp of how the human interactions of politics plays out. (I freely admit that I’m a bit tone deaf on how people get all emotionally herded this way and that. I’m not herded, so don’t quite “get it” about being a herd animal… More big cat geek than lap dog diva ;-)

It starts with the Tulsi response to Hillary implying (almost saying) Tulsi is a Russia Asset. Tulsi doesn’t pull any punches. Hillary has been wounded by that, and you know what the say about a wounded angry animal… Then he starts sharing his attitudes and what he sees as the dynamics inside The Left.

I have no idea how sound his analysis is. I am not “of the left”. But what I do recognize is that he’s seeing the same DNC manipulations, the same DNC Lies, the same Favored Candidates vs not, and the same Clinton Machine Corruption. This from someone who is their “natural constituency”. It’s a curious kinship of a sort.

Now, given that some significant part of those in the Democrat side will be seeing those same things, that implies the Democrats squandering their time in The House on more dirty tricks nonsense and impeachment screeching to the wind; well, that’s leaving a bad taste in some large part of the “Democrat Base” and Independents too. It clearly is showing up to at least one young black man.

I now wonder just how much of the registered Democrat and Independents are being thoroughly put off by the blatant corruption, partisan bickering, and dirty tricks? Basically, we now know it isn’t just folks on The Right seeing it all; so the question becomes not just “the what” they see, but the how much and how many see it.

19 minutes of a very different view point:

OK, my bias:

I like Tulsi. No, I don’t agree with most of her political positions. I do agree with her attitude toward our involvement in endless wars. I do agree she is being manipulated out of a fair contest. I really like her honesty, directness, and spunk. If I get a chance to vote in the California Primary, it will be for her.

The rest of the field are largely old has-beens, nuttier Socialists, or corrupt machine products, so far less interesting to me. And, as an Independent, I don’t get to vote in the Republican Primary, so I vote in the Democrat one. (Unless they changed the rules and I didn’t notice).

So I watch the Dems closely as they are where my Primary Vote gets counted. And, well, I’d rather have Tulsi talking at me from the TV for 4 years than Bernie, Story Du Jour Warren, Fruity Beto, etc. etc. and certainly don’t want Machine Product Kamala in power. I’ll take genuine person over machine manipulated any day.

    It appears to me that, Tulsi Gabbard, is the only Democrat running that is not a part of the “Organization” and therefore of great danger to them. Hence the vicious attack on her. If she were running as a Center Right Democrat she could sweep the rest of them. As soon as Hillary unloaded on her it became obvious to me that She was NOT a part of the Soros / Clinton machine and they would see her as a great danger to them…pg.

    E.M.: “No, I don’t agree with most of her political positions.”

    One of the things the hard swing to the left by Democrats has done is make a very few of the rest of the Democrats seem to be centrist. They are not centrist in the least but only in comparison. I see you have not been fooled, E.M..

    E.M.: ” I do agree with her attitude toward our involvement in endless wars.”

    She’s pretty much a single issue candidate and that is her issue It appeals to a broad swath of American voters irrespective of any party affiliation. Americans are sick of endless wars, all for what? Our corrupt Uniparty politicians keep us in endless wars because the politicians and their cronies skim insane amounts of money off of the war business.

    If Tulsi Gabbard were to be elected President, I believe she would minimize America’s foreign military entanglements at the cost of every other Unicorn and Fairy Dust PC policy that she could enact.

    Our kids wouldn’t be getting shot and blown up overseas, but her other policies would still ruin the freedom and economic future for those not-shot-up kids.

    Plus… all of her Cabinet and other appointees, particularly the courts, would be drawn from the Democrat bench and I have no doubt that they would manipulate her right back into the War Business.

    She is not a centrist. That’s an illusion.

    @H.R.:

    Do understand, I’d not vote for her in the general election. I’m all for Trump, there. For exactly the reasons you point out.

    What she shares with Trump, that I find the attraction, is that entire “Outsider get out of world cop” ambiance and the puckishness.

    @P.G.:

    Yup. It has become very clear why the Democrats have such a strict “his / her turn” forced outcome. With Biden ALONE sucking down about $2 BILLION, there has to be a fair amount of payola to the ranks, and then that is bought with seniority and “wait your turn” for more.

    So only those “vetted” as corrupt allowed in the game as the Top Dog needs cover via payola, and any outsider populist threatens all of them in the graft game.

    Likely something similar with the RINOs in the RNC but perhaps more discrete as stock holdings in companies that make a bundle off of policies (like Boeing or Lockheed…)

    I’ve noticed my sensibility on this has become tuned, starting back under Obama, to strongly prefer anyone from outside the “political experience” game…

  5. E.M.Smith says:

    @Larry L:

    Interesting Hillary / Tulsi composite image. I’m pretty sure the actual animosity is real though, and for the reasons P.G. described.

    Tulsi is the only Democrat candidate I find attractive, and that was true before this Clinton Flap.

    Yet even there it is not her policies that are the attractive bit. It’s the spunk and clear talking.

  6. H.R. says:

    @E.M.: “Do understand […]”

    H.R.wrote prior to that: “I see you have not been fooled, E.M..”

    Yup, It was clearly understandable that you were discussing her strong appeal in general and with blacks waking up to having been “on the plantation” with the video providing evidence for your discussion and POV.

    She’s a Socialist through and through but has that single issue that has very broad appeal.

    Well that, and she’s NOT Hillary.

    So… Okay. That’s TWO issues with broad appeal ;o)

  7. E.M.Smith says:

    I’ll take honest but misguided over corrupt and misleading any day.

    The former has some hope they can learn on the job ;-) The latter is just evil.

    Of course, what I like most is honest, competent, and moral with some strength. Very rare these days, but we seem to have it in Trump.

    Given a choice of a RINO or Tulsi… not sure what I’d do. Probably take Tulsi and load her down with a Republican congress… at least the corruption would be minimal while the ability to inflice Socialism would be muted…

  8. E.M.Smith says:

    I’m not at all surprised that a party operative would be involved with helping and promoting a new candidate. The real question is just did the Democratic Machine corrupt her in the process.

    I find it more of a worry that her Dad was a politician too. The potential for family dynastic contacts is distressing…

  9. Larry Ledwick says:

    Based on all the back ground chatter about this and similar incidents I have little doubt this is substantially true. If so, America dodged a major Presidential crisis on election day 2016.

    http://republicbroadcasting.org/news/alleged-cnn-report-on-hillary-on-election-night-a-shocking-portrait-of-a-woman-gone-berserk/

    The thought of someone with that short of a fuse and lack of self control in command of nuclear weapons and our military should scare the crap out of everyone.

    The even scarier thought, is her supporters are completely blind to this behavior, and risk.

  10. philjourdan says:

    @HR abs EM – make that 3 of us about Tulsi. I would not vote for her (unless in a primary), but I do like her spunk.

    But to throw a monkey wrench in Larry’s link, the podcast of Hillary’s lunacy was out there for 2 days and no one said a thing about it (mostly because no one watched it). It was not until Rush played it that that Jill Stein and Tulsi got ugly on Hillary. Podesta would not have left that to chance if he was behind it.

    https://www.rushlimbaugh.com/daily/2019/10/21/this-show-sparked-the-hillary-tulsi-feud/

    Besides, Podesta is fully aware of where all the clinton bodies are buried! That Podcast makes her look like a blithering idiot.

  11. philjourdan says:

    @Larry – re: Hillary’s plans. Every time I am reminded of how the left felt that night, I get to relive the election of Trump. Hehehehe

    And I am not surprised by that story.. Not one bit.

  12. Kneel says:

    EM:”I’ll take honest but misguided over corrupt and misleading any day.”

    You and most others, I reckon….
    BoJo got to be UK PM for that very reason – not the sharpest tool in the shed, but will actually at least TRY to do what they promised.

  13. p.g.sharrow says:

    I know a man who knew about the Clintons from the POV of the kitchen staff. Hillary’s temper was known to launch things at Bill’s head, if you know what I mean and she was hell to work for…pg
